Definitely a bad idea, as a law student the driver could face imprisonment depending on the way he's caught and any other factors such as passengers in the vehicle etc etc

Honestly just catch a cab, ask your parents if you live with them for a the cab fare.

You shouldn't risk your life and chances are he'll make it home safely, and forget that you didn't want to ride in his car.

Don't do it; it's stupid to put yourselves at risk and it's completely unfair to put other drivers at risk too. Just stop the night.

    Drinking and Driving

Honestly, don't be so fucking stupid to "plan" on drinking and driving. The only time I ever drink and drive is when I plan on crashing at the party house, but the party ends up getting busted. I hop in my truck and dip out, except I only drive a couple of blocks and crash in my car or If I have a friend who lives near by I just go there.

Smoke and drive, instead of drinking and driving.

Because it's stupid. Don't do it >_< You're asking for advice on something that is illegal. What do you want us to say.. that it's ok? We don't know if your friend is a light weight. Some people aren't effected by 4 beers and some people are.

1-4 beers is still ok, I been pretty out as I drove ONCE while being drunk, got lost in a neighborhood for a LONG time, wasted a lot of gas, never planning to do it again.

Is that birthday really worth of possibly losing ur life or living the rest of your life in a wheelchair. If you'd ask me i'd say no. If you friends father's car has to be home by morning then go there with taxi and get out of there with taxi.

Make sure he eats something before you guys go out maybe an hour before.

Then literally just before you guys get in the car, make him chug a pint of milk.

Then as long as he spaces his beers out over the night, with around 45minutes between each one, he should be a safer driver. Although if he is a complete light weight this could still lead to some serious consequences.

This is the most stupid, most selfish fucking thread I have ever seen in my life. Anything that happens to you deserves to. As bad as that sounds, your pre-planning riding with someone who's been drinking? Why don't you go ahead and plan your funeral along with the funeral of the people you can very likely wreck into?

I'm aware people do this shit all the time. I feel no sympathy for drunk drivers who get hurt in accidents. Only the peoples lives they can drastically change by thinking "i'm alright to drive".

If you go to a party to have a beer and not get at the very least a buzz, I hope they never invite you to another party. There is nothing more square than that. Except this [].

There's no answer to this except not doing it, or putting your life and other's lives out on a limb. Don't be stupid and make the right choice.

Haha, was about to write just that. Darwinism ftw.

I never drink drive, simply because:

1.) Im Irish, we drink to get drunk, we do it properly.. so it's pointless to have a few beers and drive (because I won't be drunk anyway and i'll be risking my licence for nothing)

    2. If I was properly drinking, I would be incapable of driving.

    There's my reasoning.
