Hey guys. Lately, I've seen a few threads lurking in the spam forum about resetting everything on my account. Why did I do it? Simply, it was a New Years Resolution for myself. As you can see in this thread, I was looking for advice on what I should do to improve myself as a person.

Here's a few things I got from the thread:

• Stop expecting things.
• Enjoy the community for what it really is.
• Continue to help others as I've always done.
• Set goals, but don't let it distract me from real life.
• Try to get a job to better support myself.
• Don't let Sythe be a priority, but more-so a hobby.
• Don't leave Sythe, but not give it so much attention.
• Prioritize things in an understandable manner.

With the said above, I got some really honest responses, and thank everyone who posted. I appreciate it greatly. With the posts, I really got to understand where I've let myself go since I ever started being on Sythe years ago. When I came to the website, I just wanted to help others, but got into wanting to become a User Educator, an Official Middleman, and a Staff Member. I didn't ever stop helping people, but I feel that I showed some people disrespect over time that really didn't deserve it. If I've done this to you (Magic Arrow, Bambino, Wtp, Nick [RSBot], etc.), I'm sorry. I can't go back and change what I did/said in the past, but it's certainly time for a new beginning.

Some may think this is a very bold move, but here's some advantages of having my account reset.

• I'll get to experience the community for what it is.
• I have the opportunity to see Sythe as a newcomer, as I feel this will greatly influence my attitude.
• I'll be able to monitor my activity and how much I've been contributing.
• If allowed, I may be able to try and strive for certain statuses again, to show how much I'm pushing for change.
• Obtaining ranks on Sythe means a lot to some. However, with or without them, we all should be treated as equals.
• I can experience that which I did years ago when I started. Yes, many people may know me, but in that, they will also see how I change.

In all, I just felt this was the right move for me to take. I have a few friends that are upset about this (sorry Bubba Fuzz <3), but I honestly think it's a step I should take to change. Also, in the last 6 months, I've already changed a lot, but haven't gotten the opportunity to speak to many people that think differently.

Please understand: I don't wish to be looked upon like I'm trying to get something out of all this, but truly see if I can do things again with a more positive, understanding attitude. If willing, anyone can change, and hope that if you're reading this right now and you feel you are having some problems too, there's never an end to the road ahead. You can change. We all can change. But it what it all comes down to is this: Are you willing to change?

You earned it and shouldnt just delete them, your still the same person and everyone is going to feel the same,

this is just weird

 

Hopefully this wont start a flock of scammers who create a new acc and will be like "yeah I had 300 vouches and 4000 posts but my account got reset".

Welcome back I guess, but if you really wanted a fresh start I think you should make a new account and don't tell anyone who you are. I get where you're going and all but some people (me at least) are still going to see you as Unb4nn3d, ex-mod ex-user educator all of that stuff. But anyways good luck.
