i always did the "buying whip for like 1k unidf. ranars" the person would be sketchy at first so i would show him the 2k then trade him 2 and tell them to fill there invy with other crap and identify one of the ones a trade then and leave the other on unidentified and in your invy so that way if the ones i try to trade them wernt rannars they wouldnt stack and the trade wouldnt work because the invy was full. but people would always forget about the open slot the whip they were trading me made and i would just put up 998 unidentified gaums trade and log out.

best way was lure someone into wildy with no borders trade and have friends that just piled him

 

Well, JaGex made the wildy lure bannable in like 2 years of RS2s beta. They had such a problem that they banned maxed accounts.

I've done experienced all of these types of scams.

The old days were fun, one of the trust games, a mod was acting muted and PM'ed me telling me what to say for her and told the guy that she was muted so I could talk for her. The guy ended up not scamming...LOL

 

Never been scammed. Me and my friend did always say "having a quiz contest for big prizes, admittance only 50k" we both made like 500k doing this a day. Then that damn trade limit had to fuck with everyone.

 

Talk about a sense of nostalgia. This thread almost bums me out just seeing you all reminisce about the good old days.

Quickly turning 1000k coins to 10004 coins before the other player hits accept. Made me tons.

Also swapped out Dragon Legs for Red D'hide chaps once. Idiot traded me Full Karil's + more stuff for Red D'hide chaps.

 

I remember "Selling guthans, only 7m", Everybody would trade you, and you'd put in a leafbladed spear instead of the warspear (Which was worth 6/8m). Made easily 10m an hour with that, until jagex patched it so you could no longer trade leaf bladed spears

 

heres the best two scams that i loved

u stand on one side of fally w2 marketplace saying sellin spinach role 2mil
then ur friend stands on other side of marketplace saying buying spinach role 2.4mil cash

then a 'genius' sees both of ur texts and figures out a infalliable plan to profit 400k, buys the spinach role from you, runs to other side of marketplace as fast as he can, trades ur friend, then the friend logs off 2secs later...lol

i also liked selling right half of drag sq shield for 4m+

edit: also with wild lure ur supposed to drop 10k in wild to lure, also look up their combat levels with swiftswitch before u lured, always browsing the discontinued items forum

 

my favorite was doing group ice platue tele or whatever from lunar spell book and have friends waiting there ^.^ that was fun.

 

i prefered to just offer up so much then remove it b4 they click accept and they would accept so fast and not notice, i fell for it a few times

 

I loved it. I would take people to the upsatirs of teh battle staff shop, and once i got my stuff id run back behind the buildings from where you tele to mine ess in varrock, and drop trade it to my other account. Great times, so many memories.
