My Guide on Xbox 360 Modding + Tutorials.

Hello, welcome to my guide. This guide will be teaching you what you need to Mod, what you CAN Mod with this guide and a tutorial on how. Hope you enjoy it.

    1. What is Modding?

    - Modding is where you physically Modify your Xbox 360, whether it be exterior or interior. When you mod your Xbox, you can achieve things that are usually prohibited by Microsoft and these things are give you an advantage, a cool "Perk", or anything you would probably favor. Modding varies greatly, and some Mods can be as easy as cake, or some can be so hard it will make you lose your mind. Either way, you'll be pleased with the outcome, and it is usually worth all the while.

    2. What do I need?

Well, once again, Mods vary greatly in different ways. You will need different things for different Mods you want to accomplish. But the two Mods I will be talking about today, All you will need is a Transfer Cable, an Xbox (With a Hard Drive), and a Computer.

Transfer Cable: This is the Cord that will take your profile information from your Xbox 360 hard drive and transfer it to your Computer, so you are able to Mod it. You usually get these if you buy a 120GB+ Hard Drive, Or you can call Microsoft and usually just buy one for around $13.00. (They do not come with Xbox Elites that come with 120GB HD's.)

Xbox 360: Obviously you will need an Xbox to do this. But with you Xbox it is vital that you have a Hard Drive with it (Any size is fine.) You need the HD because there is no way to take your profile off of the Xbox console itself.

Computer: You will need to use your computer because there are 2 programs you need in order to do the mods, and your Computer is the only way to actually do the Mods I am teaching you. If you were able to do it directly do it on your Xbox, you would be console banned indefinitely.

    3. What can I Mod?

    - With Xbox 360 Modding there are endless possibilities with Modding, and always usually a way to get around Microsoft or Game Developer patches and fixes so that they still work. But I will just be mainly discussing two Mods in this guide.

    Modding your Gamertag.

Now this Mod is a fairly easy Mod and is a very cool and fun one. What you can do is basically Mod your Gamertag to ANYTHING you want it to say along with some colors, buttons, and some other things. The only downside is that this Mod will only take affect into Call of Duty games. Preferably Modern Warfare 2.

    Modding your Gamerscore.

This Mod is also a fairly easy Mod, but takes a little longer and is also a pretty cool Mod. This, in particular though, is viewable by everyone; Even Microsoft staff, as because it is on your official Xbox Profile. So, what I am getting at is that this Mod prones you to getting Console Banned. But if you Mod smart, you should have no problems.

    4. Tutorial(s).

    How to Mod your Gamertag.

    You will need.

Xport 360. Click to DL. (Safe)
    EzGT. Click to DL. (Safe)
    WinRar. Click to DL. (Safe)
    A Transfer Cable.

Step 1. Take your Transfer Cable and plug the square end into your Hard Drive, then take the other end and plug it into a USB port in your computer.

Step 2. Open up Xport 360, And click File > Open HDD or MU> And find your Device and select it.

Step 3. Once you have selected your Device, go to Partition 3> Content> And find your Gamertag. It will always start with E0000> FFFE07D1> 00010000> then you will find your profile, open it.

Step 4. Once you have found it, click and drag your profile to a desired location. (Desktop is recommended.) Or you could always make a folder, etc.

Step 5. Open up EzGT, click 'Open' and navigate to desktop, or wherever you have saved your profile, and double click it.

Step 6. Your profile is now in EzGT, and you can modify it to however you would like it.

Step 7. Once you are done with modding your Gamertag, go ahead and save it. You can save it anywhere, but once again I would prefer Desktop. Once you do that, close EzGT.

Step 8. Wherever you have saved your modded Gamertag to, you will find the GT's folder. It will be a folder named "E0000314FA661940".

Step 9. Open Xport 360 Back up, Click File > Open HDD or MU > and select your Device once again.

Step 10. Once you have selected your Device, click Partition 3 > Content, once you are in the "Content" folder, drag your Modded GT from your saved location into the "Content" folder.

Step 11. You are now done, but not fully. Unplug your HD or MU and plug it back on your Xbox. Then start your xbox and wait for the Main XBOX LIVE screen to come on.

Step 12. Make sure YOU ARE NOT signed into any Xbox profiles, then go ahead and hit "Play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2".

Step 13. Once your at the Main Menu, hit "Multiplayer" and stay on the Screen where it says, "Xbox LIVE, System Link, etc."

Step 14. Now sign into your Modded profile, and when it asks for your avatar selection just cancel by hitting the XBOX Button in the middle of your Controller.

Step 15. Now hit "XBOX Live" and it will say you are not allowed to play, (Because it is a modded profile) once it says that, just hit "A" (Ok) and then Sign into your real profile that isn't modded.

Step 16. Now hit "XBOX Live" again, and you'll be on the Multiplayer start menu, and your Profile, stats, prestiege etc. will all be the same, but you will have your new Modded Gamertag!

    How to Mod your Gamerscore.

    You will need:

Xport 360 Click to DL. (Safe)
Profile Editor Click to DL. (Safe)

Step 1. Take your Transfer Cable and plug the square end into your Hard Drive, and take the other end and plus it into a USB port in your computer.

Step 2. Open up Xport 360.

Step 3. Select your Device. Go to file > open HD or MU > and select your Device.

Step 4. Once you have your Device selected, you need to get your Profile off your Hard Drive. Go to Partition 3> Content> Your profile. [It will always start with E0000].

Step 5. Click and Drag your profile to the Desktop or a location you prefer. (I would recommend Desktop)

Step 6. Open up Profile Editor, and choose your profile by going to File > Open > your profile which should be in the location you saved it in.

Step 7. Once you open up your Profile, it will show all of the games you have played on the Right hand side. Once you click on the game, it will show all of the achievements that are on the game specified.

Step 8. If you want to unlock the achievements, just click on it. Then it will ask you to either select Online or Offline. This means it will be shown if you have unlocked the achievement either on or off Xbox LIVE (Online). You could also choose 'Unlock All' but that would make the Mod a lot more noticeable.

Step 9. Once you are done modding your achievements, Go to File > Save and your profile and achievements will be saved.

Step 10. For the final step, go back to wherever you had saved your profile, and drag it back onto your Hard Drive by opening Xport 360 > Choose your Device > Partition 3 > Content > your Profile, and you're all done.

Thank you very much, and yes man I have, took me quite a while.

But the thing is, the Gamertag mod is usually revolved around Modern Warfare 2. Which came out in November 2009.

how were you doing this years ago, may I ask?
