I agree, its not her fault, but rather she just made herself possibly a bigger target.

Although I dont get the /facepalm males tend to get sexually assaulted less

Why should a woman take any blame for being raped based on what she wears...

Because if she makes herself a target for those type of people and is aware of this face she deserves no sympathy. If a guy wears red and walks by a bull and gets attacked is it not his fault?

How does wearing shorts or a short skirt make you a target for rape. A female deserves no sympathy for getting raped if she is wearing short clothing? That makes absolutely no sense.

I wouldn't say it's their fault, but I mean, you are asking for it. If your skirt is so short that I can see part of your asscheek, then I believe that you shouldn't put yourself in a potential-rape situation. If you're drunk, dressed slutty, and in a potential rape situation, and by some weird coincidence, get raped, you should be held partly responsible.

Dude are you serious? Girls can wear what they want, it's 100% the offenders fault if she gets raped. 100%. You think you can say "Oh she was wearing skimpy clothing she was asking for it", that's just ridiculous.

Ya that was what I was trying to say, even though she could have put a target on her back, shes not responsible if someone cannot control their impulses and attacks her.

when I mentioned "I" I was refering to myself, as I did not understand why you typed /facepalm when someone said males have a lesser chance at being raped

What they wore should not play a role in whether she was sexually assaulted or not, however it is more likely that she will be raped if she shows more skin then most other girls.

If a woman gets attacked while wearing a short skirt, she isn't "asking for it" any more than a man is asking to be robbed by walking down the street in a nice business suit.

(Law & Order, forget the episode ;))

Essentially, society teaches us to place importance on different attributes - for men, it's financial success, for women, it's appearance. So, some men show off their money with fancy cars and nice watches in the same way some women show off their appearance through revealing clothes. They do it simply to feel more secure about themselves; that is hardly deserving of an attack.

No, she isn't asking for it. However it in a sense, it gets a males hormones more active. Most men who rape or sexually assault a women feel insecure about themselves, that they would never have a chance with a women in a short skirt or revealing top.

Then again some men feel insecure and hate women who hold power. So if they rape a woman in a business suit, what should she wear next time?

Most men won't sexually assault a women who holds power. Especially if they don't wear clothing that doesn't sexually excite them.

Refer to xasfire post he said what i was trying to say in a more clearer way.

also if your a murder victim you deserve what you got depending on what your role was. If you associate or provoked that kind of person then yes it is your fault. Now if you had to clue and your walking home and he tries to mug you and you fight back and he kills you then no it's not your fault.

Girls tend to dress that way to show there back on the market. Meaning they're not in a relationship.

^^ this i can understand but they should be held accountable for what they wear also. I'm not saying it's their fault and only theirs alone, rather she should pick and choose what she wears.

    This makes no sense.
Read what Sin said, they don't dress that way to show that they are single, they dress that way to show off their body, much as a male would show off his money by wearing a nice business suit.

Let me just sum this up simply.

    If women = gets raped
    Then rapist = prison
    Women ≠ Fault

    Chances of getting raped
    Revealing clothes > Modest clothes

That's all there is too it, by saying that women "are to blame" then essentially what you are saying is that the rapist and victim should split a prison sentence. This makes no sense. It is obviously the attackers fault, 100%, but obviously attackers target women with less clothing, because more skin is more sexually exciting.
It is not the victims fault if they wear revealing clothing, but the chances increase the less clothes they wear, if the risk is worth it to them, then I say fucking wear bikinis down alleys and shit.

If you actually knew a few things about girls it would make since. They would have no need to show off their body if they already have a boyfriend. Unless shes a skank, but that isn't the majority. As their trying to impress guys with their body.

1st what makes you make the assumption that I know nothing about girls? I never said anything which could insinuate that I knew nothing of girls. Your post contained nothing but troll, so I would appreciate if you would keep your fucking mouth shut if you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about.

Your post contained many untrue statements, such as...

This is just ignorant. You're telling me that once a girl gets a boyfriend, they automatically stop dressing like a skank? Girls like attention, and that never stops, regardless of relationship status.

    False.

Girls try to impress everyone with their bodies, not just guys. They try to make other girls jealous, act like rebels, etc. It's not just to impress guys.

So please, don't make wild assumption, and I do in fact have a girlfriend, which many other members can validate for you.
Also, it's obvious that you have minor experience with girls.
