Rhodesy's Guide on how to bot.

Hello people again, this is my Fifth guide I've made so far. It's about how to bot, how to download the client, and the benefits from botting, and how you can make money from it.

Introduction
Botting is a very common thing a lot of people do now. You basically have a very well scripted bot, what controls what a normal human being would do in certain aspects of the game. Such as fishing, woodcutting, or even playing mini-games such as soulwars. It beats sitting on your lazy bum all day clicking continuously, you can watch TV, relax or even sleep while the bot does all the dirty work for you. It comes at a price, you could get banned for botting, but if you pay for them the chances will hugely decrease, as the scripts are much better and detailed to suit a humans actions, thus making the macroing detection systems less suspicious, and you get away.


Downloading the client
Before you start botting you'll need to download a client, the clients easy to download. But before you download the client, if you haven’t already or you have deleted winRAR. I recommend installing it. This isn't mandatory but I use it in the following steps so it would be a help. Download it here

Ok, once you've completed that, lets move to step one.

1) Go to rsbots.net, and go to support, download client. Or just click the link here.

2) click download bot client.



3) Make sure it is save then click OK.



4)While it's waiting to download go to your desktop and right click, and click new, the folder.



5) Name this runescape bots.



6) When the download is done, double click on the downloads page, and a page like this should appear.



7) Highlight all the items, and drag them in the folder you have just made.



8)When you open up the folder, you should see install windows, or install mac, choose accordingly to your PC.



9)Double click on your computer type (I'm using windows so I double click windows) Then, click all the recommended, and then click install.



10) When that is done, you should see the run option double click on that, and wait. When it's loaded fill in a question and this is for you it answer every time you open the bots, this prevents hackers and people who might use Trojans from accessing your auth codes. Remember don't forget the password or your auth codes are lost!



11) When that’s done and option window comes up like this, add your auths on the bottom left, when you've done click continue.



12)Click add a bot in the top left, and the rest is kind of self explanatory from there.


Auth codes.
When you buy bots, it comes as a little code such as 320xt36ignnwiby7. You type that in on the add bots, and the type of bot comes up, if you use the same bot at the same time, the bot will get banned, and you'll have to pay for a new one. Each auth code is one bot. So say you have a woodcutting auth code, you can only bot on one account at a time, but if you had two, you could do two.



How not to get banned.
If you do not want to get banned follow these simple steps and you should be more or less safe from jagexs banhammer. Do not bot in random times, such as. Bot overnight on an account, then on the same account, bot the next day in the morning through work/school. It's stupid and jagex will see the time change of playing. Also, when botting, don't be stupid, and wear no clothes like this.



Wear something what doesn't make you stand out and make you an obvious botter. Like this.



Also, limit your playing hours, do not bot 24 hours, that's far to obvious, which human can play for 24 hours, without breaking no stop, clicking a tinderbox on a pile of logs, it's not human really. So, don't do it, jagex would suspect botting, I’d recommend bot the maximum 10 hours a day, I usually do about 6-8 on my accounts.

Flagged
When you are flagged, it's a term used that jagex kind of know, that you are botting, and it's an indication to stop botting, play legit a bit, or bot little. You can tell if you are flagged generally when you log in and within the first 5 minutes you get a random, that’s usually a big indication, if you are flagged, don't panic, since, this doesn';t mean your banned, it just means jagex might be curious of your actions so, do the things stated above!



Advantages
The main advantage of botting is first being the effort and time it saves you. Instead of doing all the stuff you would normally do on runescape, you can socialise with some friends while the bot does it all. Also another is the profit and income it can bring in. You could buy a woodcutting bot for $15, make an account get it 99 woodcutting and sell it for $25. You use little effort, yet you make $10. Also, like me you could set up a skilling service on sythe and have set prices, when you have accumulated enough bots, this is a good idea, not after your second or third, you should have many skills so people have a wider variety to choose from. I have generated $200 from the skilling services over the space of 3 months, so it's not bad really.


Disadvantages
Of course everything has a downside to it. First there could be a chance of you getting banned, and it's permanent. However, I have heard guides to unban accounts who have been banned for macroing, so don't worry too much. Also, your parents (presuming you still live with your parents) may not agree to leaving your computer/laptop on overnight, and this will take up a lot of valuable botting times. You may not even have the money to start of with to buy the bots, since they are around $10-$20 each. You could buy of a someone who is trusted in selling auth codes for $1-$4, but this is of course against the rules of sythe.org and do them privately. (Also be careful if doing so since it is very easily scammed). And the final disadvantage is losing the will to play, over time when you bot, people just think, whats the point of playing legit anymore? What's happened to me, so you may lose the will to play runescape legit.

Nice guide. Could you just clarify in the guide that this guide leans a bit more towards RSBots.net's bots. Also the title left out the "to" in "how to bot". Other than that the guide is written pretty well and looks good. I like this guide even though it is pretty simple, maybe you should explain how to add breaks and things like that.

If you add and fix those things the guide should be really good. Hope this helped.

 

Yeah I've Pmed a global about the title. The reason I've leaned across rsbots.net is that I do not know anything about rsbot.org etc. I've only used .net and people say it's the best one to use anyway. Many auths have different break setups, I could go through some basic ones, and I've already gone through the importance of botting. Thanks for reading, and I appreciate the comment.

Okay guide. I still had to look up this http://www.rsbots.net/forums/index.php?topic=1299.0 because that fucking black box was fucking with me. Perhaps add something similar, or a link in the guide?

Exactly what I was looking for! It helped that you color-coded the different sections! One thing that could've helped the layout as well as me would be to make the section titles and the index titles a bit bigger to easily find. Also maybe centering everything would make it look nicer .

It's a pretty simplistic guide in some areas, but I think the clarification that you gave was good because some members would get lost and confused. Just to play devils advocate; What are the advantages of Rsbots.net's bots versues the advantages of Rsbot.org's bots? Just a question to pose.

Overall, you did a nice job in terms of layout and topic selection. I haven't seen many botting guides and this is a pretty decent one. I also think that you probably should have showed us a sample. Such as blocking out the auth code and showing how the bot runs and what steps to take once the auth code is entered. I'm glad to see UE's making guides though, and this is a good one.

 

Good guide, I found it very helpfull. Although, there are a few things I would chage.

I would go into more detail about auth codes, you gave us a brief when truly those codes are a major part of this process.

Also in step 12 you said "and the rest is kind of self explanatory from there." I feel like you took the easy way out, and didn't finish the guide. People that are new to botting may not find it as easy as you so I would further explain.

Overall, good guide 8/10.

 

Very nice guide. Its very helpfull for the guys that are new to botting.
If I were you, I would show more on how to do the auth code's and how it looks like when the bot is running.
But overall, a very good guide! 9/10
