Music Skillcape/demoworld *EXPLAINED*

I am here to clarify what really happened from March-22 to 28 and “World901” AKA “demoworld” and how FireyKO got his “Music Skillcape”.

To my understanding many users have seen the YouTube video of the ‘Music Skillcape’ posted by “FieryKo” on March 25, 2010. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAnoETtU82w

I am not going to deny the existence of the “Music Skillcape”, it is infact in the Jagex cache. Its model ID is 40170, you can check yourself using RSMV (RuneScape Model Viewer). It was never released into the game, never given item init’s and never given an Item image or Item ID. This is why FireyKo never once shows his items equipped.

On March 22-23rd the Rsbots.net botnet detected an extra world labeled as “demoworld”, population: 3, world number: 901. There have been reports of players seeing betaworld in the actual world selection page on the evening of March 23rd. However this is unconfirmed.

When players tried to login to the world they would get an error message saying “Malformed login packet. Please try again. On the forums, a Jagex moderator confirmed that demoworld was indeed a Jagex testing server. It remains unknown why the glitch happened in the first place.

The user who posted the video, “FieryKo” AKA Quint, is a long time bug abuser. He was famous from the Ezud bug abuse community in early 2009.

Now what’s all this have to do with FieryKo and his “Music Skillcape”? I will explain:
He did not have a Music Skillcape, he could have had any cape on at all, it’s called Client editing.

All RuneScape worlds(1-172) have protection from the client being downloaded. Why would Jagex put protection on something that’s hidden. Like world 901? They wouldn’t, which is exactly why FireyKo was able to download the client, once he had the client data, he was able to manipulate it into making a different cape appear as a “Music Skillcape”. So the “Music Skillcape” you see in the video could have been any other cape. The person you see following him in the video was obviously staged. The main reason he didn’t go into a populated area such as the Grand Exchange is that he knows that nobody would see his music skillcape, so nobody would follow him. If he really did have a music skillcape, tons of players would follow him.

FireyKo did do a good job of faking this, but I figured him out.

And I told people that "world 901 - Demoworld" was a testing server only accessible by members of the JaGex Games Studio Intranet (that's Intranet, not Internet) And that the only reason it was on the world select was a mistake.

No one believed me.

By the way, you mis-used the word botnet, a botnet is very different from a bot. And the reason it detected it was because it loads using an unsigned client, the server was visible on the official Runescape website as long as you loaded it from Runescape.com/slu.ws.

Dude, did you read any of the OP? The cape was a fake..

 

But it's still a cape that they made. Whether or not it will ever be released is undetermined.

You are a dumbass nobody cares and you wasted your time writing this because everybody who isn't relatively retarded figured this out approximately four seconds after watching the poorly done video.

Quint was never famous he was just a leeching and leaking idiot who now has reduced himself to making client side bug videos.
