    Anyone reading "Twilight?"

It's the first book in the teen vampire trilogy. I'm almost done with it and I must admit I'm hooked. I just took a peek at the movie trailer and it looks good!! The book is not scary and I see why teens (and adults) are so fascinated by it. It's kind of like "The Breakfast Club" for dead teens. LOL! Has anyone else been reading this?

In my opinion, Twilight is an over rated book/movie which really isn't all that good.

No, you're just jealous that girls flock over the main characters in that movie and you are sitting at home calling him gay.

Personally I thought it was a good series and I wasn't hooked exactly but it was definitely a good time killer.

I loved the books! However, I don't like the second book. Too much crap. But I think the movie is better. It gives a visual effect. Also, jacob is the definition of hot.

Go through the first book and count how many times Edward's "perfect eyes" are mentioned. Goes well in to the double digits.

Honestly, Stephanie Meyer is a terrible writer. The way it works is Edward is given this awesome, handsome appearance in the book and is pertained to be the kind of guy most teenage girls want. Bella on the other hand is given next to no description, so we might as well call her Pants (I'd link you to the website that points this out, but I forgot it). The female reader feels that she can easily slip in to Pants' role because she has no substance. She is a phantom character which can be filled in for by whoever the female reader wants, hence the female reader will tend to fall in love with the book because of characters that DO have substance, like Edward.

You sir are an idiot. Guys WITH social lives still read books of all genres. The books I thought were pretty awful IMO.

    Anyone reading "Twilight?"

I haven't read the books but I'll just assume they're better than the movies. The first movie was terrible. Shaky acting throughout the most part of the film ruined it for me. Not to mention the whole movie had an awkward feel. It felt like right as everything opened up, the movie ended.

The second movie was WAY better. I'm not going to say it was a good movie, considering it still suffered from some of the same shaky acting (mostly Taylor Lautner this time) as the first did. The story itself is a little corny but I guess I can see where people can get into it.

Overall.. I think it's a decent story that has potential if they step up the acting/directing etc. The main thing I hate about the Twilight Saga is that it's one of those things that become astronomically huge practically overnight, so the companies behind it milk it for literally everything it's worth. Movies, action figures, board games, trading cards.. it's sad. I've seen Twilight birthday cakes, plates, umbrellas.. you name it, there's a Twilight themed version of it -.-

I didn't like them - they didn't peak my interest. And don't you ever compare this trash to The Breakfust Club, dammit!

I bet you were flayed alive by the girls on your friends list.

If you liked Twilight I suggest you watch "Brokeback Mountain" or "Fisting Firemen 13".
