I want to know what song you've heard and what memories are attached to it.

The happiest song I can think of now is probably "We're All Dudes" by Less Than Jake from the good burger movie. It's probably the first time I can look back in my life and see where I truly discovered ska music and just humor in general.

It's the nostalgia that gets me.

I truly believe music has a hugely positive effect on people's lives and well being. I've been searching for a certain sound all my life and haven't found it yet.

I'll be helping to judge, and wont be competing, but I'll throw a song in here anyway

Its not necessarily the lyrics that make me happy when I hear the song, but more so instrumentally, the melodies throughout the song just have a great feel to them, and the video is generally happy as well, it shows close bondages between the band members and generally gives the feeling that you're not alone in this world.

 

When I was once feeling extremely saddened after reading about some sort of homosexual-killing in America, this song came along and cheered me up.

I'm not quite sure why I love this song so much.. just seems like a very happy song that makes me remember lots of random things from when I was young.

 

I was coming back from my friends house one day with my brother, all of a sudden he pops in this CD from a band called Sigur Ros (you guys may or may not know them). He played the first song, I got this huge wave of emotion from it, I got a wave of sorrow but at the same time a great surge of happiness through my body.

Everytime I listen to this song, I get goosebumps for the whole 6 minutes of it, this is the only song I ever listened too that gave me goosebumps throughout the whole entire song. Every time I am down, I listen to it.

 

What Is Love - Haddaway



It's always been one of my favorite songs. It always seems to pick me up whenever I'm feeling down. Whenever I listen to it, it always gives me the uncontrollable urge to just get up and start dancing.

Most recently however, I have to think of the Pepsi commercial for Super Bowl XLII (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQ0A0xbORPU) which of course was the game that ended the New England Patriot's 18 game winning streak (I sincerely loathe the Patriots) and the game where the New York Giants (My favorite team) won the Super Bowl.

I fell in love with the Hyperize sneakers, and then I found this, I can easily listen to this all day, it makes me laugh all the time !

Vid #2 :

I once feel asleep while listening to it, love the song when Beyonce sings it, ADORE when David Sides gives the instrumental, really love it when he pulls out his fast fingers to perform an amazing tune ( 3 times in the vid ) !

Honestly it just made me feel a bit depressed, it definitely is an emotional song, but I don't see the happiness.

Its trippy yes, but I don't see any happiness, plus I'm not gonna listen to the entire hour.. 4/10

No comment on the first one, 7/10 on the second, 9/10 on the last, Come on Eileen is an extraordinary song when it comes to happiness

The translation at the start of this video is incorrect. 'Non è per sempre' actually means 'it's not forever'.
The song is basically about something not lasting forever, but needing to move on and seize the moment and relish the opportunities you're given.
It's very relevant to my life over the past year or so, and always elevates my mood whenever I listen to it.



'Viaggia Insieme a Me' translates to 'follow me'.
The song is essentially about guiding someone through life, showing them the world and teaching them to pass on what they've learnt. Very uplifting song. Never fails to make me smile.



The words never fail to boost my mood if I'm feeling a little down. The repeated 'there'll be a chance for us' puts alot of things in my life into perspective and makes me realize that I'm a very happy person.
