    DOS Attacks

A certain website has been pissing off me and my friends, and I would like to get back at them with a DoS attack. I looked into the ping of death, but then found out it as obsolete :(
If you have information that you don't want made public, please feel free to pm me. I have a very nice computer than can take a lot if that's required to pull off this attack. I am NOT interested in doing a DDoS attack.

Really I think that most attacks that you could do against a website depend on what the website's server is running and exactly what type of attack you want to perform. I don't really have experience attacking websites but you should think about what you really intend on doing. Ex. do you want change the contents of the website, overload the website's capabilities, or something else?

Some things you might want to look into are PHP exploits, ftp hacking, and SQL injection. As I said before, I have no experience in hacking websites, but these are common ways that I have heard of people doing it.

    Good luck.

I'd like to change the contents, but I think it would be easiest to just bring it down. Thanks for the post :D

No, I don't think I will be teaching anyone how to DDoS or even DoS a site today. That's all we need is another skiddie thinking he's a l337 h4x0r because he can DoS a server..

Good luck, and Google is your friend. ;)

I don't think it will make me a 1337 h4x0r, but I think it will be a good start on my way to becoming one. And google is all written by people who assume you've already done a DoS attack, so if you could PM me a couple of pointers I'd really appreciate it...
And I have made legit programs such as a basic Runescape bot and a couple of things to screw over computers, so I'm not a complete skiddie.

That's pretty much the definition right there of a skiddie..

Google isn't written by anyone. It's just a simple search engine that uses spiders to crawl over web pages and archive them. My suggestion is that if you want to learn anything about hacking, you join a hacking group. I know of several white hat hacker sites that will teach you the basics to hacking..

As my friend always told me: "There is no way to teach hacking, it's something you have to learn yourself."

And besides, DoS'ing sites will get you no where. The best you can do is DDoS a site with several friends and HOPE that their server crashes and loses all their data. Seeing how most hosts back up the sites automatically and have anti-DoS methods anyways, your attempts might be futile.

So once again, I will not teach you how to DoS sites, nor will I teach you how to hack. (Not that you asked about the latter.) If Google doesn't help you, then tough cookies.

I think I know what a frickin search engine is buddeh, It's just that all the boards I found were either tuts that required you had extensive knowledge or questions like mine with answers like yours. Sorry for my poor wording. If you could reccomend any of those websites then please do.
    And I'm not handicapped.

Good luck, but illegal activities like this aren't supported around here.
