Am I getting hacked?! Help pls!

Everytime I log onto MSN people yell at me for sending them some link. I'm like wtf? And they say I spammed them some weird link.

I clicked the same link after my friend Ian sent it to me on msn. And now random windows on my msn pop up and send the link without me doing anything, and I'll be surfing a site and all of the sudden, without me clicking anything, I will re-directed instantly to the Travian Online Game homepage.

I ran Spybot - Search and Destroy once, and deleted the threats.
It happened still, so I ran Immunize and then scanned again, it said there were no immediate threats found, but it keeps happening!

Re-install MSN, Possibly if that doesn't work then make a new hotmail account. That should help dude.

 

That's pretty funny. You some sort of a virus that attacks your MSN.

 

yeah Ive actually have seen this happen but i don't know where the virus would be acting from if it was even a virus. Probably in your msn folder or soemthing.

You're not hacked, you just clicked on a site , that site is spreading the link.

 

You should delete your msn and mabey scan your computer with an anti-virus so you dont get in trouble over msn;p

You've been hacked - read on.

This problem is caused by you (idiot) for logging into "Who blocked me sites" or downloading "free smilies" or other pathetic hacks. Once they get your password they will sign in when you're not and send messages to all linking them to the same virus you have.

It spreads like wildfire and the best way to get rid of it is to:
1) Scan you computers
a) Delete/clean/quarantine virus if found
b) Repeat 1 with another virus scanner (again and again until 'a' is satisfied)
2) Ask a trusted friend to go on the live.com site and change:
a) Your password
b) Your secondary email
c) Your recoveries.

I know what you're thinking, why didn't they change my password... Well the whole point of it is to be stealthy, and the moment you change your password is the moment they can't spread it through you.


Next time, don't click to download free smilies, "found out who blocks you", free mice, free porn, free gp (and on and on)

 

Which is the funny thing. I am not so incredibly stupid as to believe any of the above, and click on them in hopes of free "___". My trusted friend Ian sent me a link (He obviously was the first one to be hacked, and whatever it was automatically spread the link) and I clicked it. Then it hit me, and I was fucked. I re-installed MSN, and made a new Messenger address. Everything is fine now.

I don't think you quite understand.

My friend whom I completely trust got the virus, and it sent me the link, not him. I clicked it because I trust him (and I didn't know it wasn't him sending it at the time) and got the virus.

You're not getting hacked. It's a website that asks for a virtual signature from Java, you clicked it and now you're infected.

Just download AVG and let it do the rest.

Stay OFF MSN, as those "windows" you see popping-up when you're in it means it's sending the link to people.

 

I've seen that to people on msn.

Their msn's always send me damn links, its annoying.
