Sorry to say, but you probably need to get a new one. I think this is the wrong section too.

A lot of consoles have a 'centering' system for the controller. So when you start up the console, don't move the analog stick.

However, if this problem happens every time, get a new controller.

Take it apart and experiment, that's what I did and I fixed mine.

taking it apart is a last resort. Try pulling it (not joking) as it will pop up a bit then you can reset it.

This hasn't happened to me, but try unscrewing the controller, and seeing if you can move it into place.

Usually happens when idiots like my friends spill soda at my house and get it on the controller or when you have sticky hands from greasy food and then you play it'll basically clog it under just open the controller up take off the stick clean it off and put it back on and it should be fine unless there's a problem with the bearing under it.

I had the same problem, you literally just need to unscrew your controller and clean it a little.
Trust me, its really simple to do and will go back together just fine. I know its a little scary opening something you paid £35 for but its not going to break unless you start attacking it or have extremely greasy hands or something.
You'll need a Torx 8 security bit screwdriver to open it, however I managed to open it with just a regular Torx 8 by snapping the security piece.
The hidden screw is under the barcode in the battery compartment.
    Good luck :)

    Nice constructive post there.

As others have said, try taking it apart since there's no warranty on those things anyway and if it's broke then what can you lose.

Thanks, I was actually trying to undo mine with a regular and had problems and was looking for an extra screw, I will try that in the morning.
