Teen charged with assault with a taco.

No I am not kidding.

Apparently there has been problems before and they have been happening for "awhile".

Also he was apparently "Pushing things to the limit as far as the violence.” so it doesn't seem like the first violent thing he has done to/around his mother.

The last thing any Mother wants to do is put their Son/Daughter in jail, but he is 19, and should atleast have some respect for his own Mother.

I experienced a situation sort of like this, was pushing things to the limit, was violent, several things in my house broken, and you know what finally happened?

I grabbed my Mother's glasses off her face and got put in Juvenile Detention for a while to "learn my lesson".

At the end of this month I am just now getting off everything(charges dropped, it disappears, etc.) and it has been exactly 1 year.

If I would have never been detained, I would have never learned the new self control I have. Since I was detained, I have not acted anywhere near as violent as I did before, and the most violent I have gotten is yelling at some guy on RuneScape when he obviously cannot hear me >_>

I have first hand knowledge on this kind of situation, although I may not know everything about this guys past with his mother and family, I do know that it is kind of similar to my case, and I know what worked for me so I believe it would work for him.

Btw, if you read this far, wow. And sorry for putting myself out there and talking so much, but I had to explain what I meant and why I said it.

The mother has had previous issues with the child in question before. This taco incident probably pushed her over the edge.

Well, this whole case reminds me of how parents were dropping off their teenagers at hospitals / police stations under the infant protection law. Crazy.

Sorry mod, don't infract me. Only in USA you can get charged for hitting someone with a taco -.- Like, I don't see whats wrong with minimal contact, inspite of the fact its happened multiple times with her.
