Get off your asses please <3

Not meaning to flame in any manner whatsoever, but it seems like the "Report a Scammer" section.. they hardly ban anyone in there or reply to it.

Doesn't seem very mod-like to me .


Anyway, I'm kinda pissed because I was scammed 50M like, 24 hours ago and they still haven't replied to that. And I have full proof to get him/her banned.


Soo yeah.. Please eliminate the scammers faster or something?

The problem is if a person doesn't post enough proof it takes like up to 15 minutes just to check for example if it was the persons real email.

We try to get some reports done, but they take time and the mods are quite busy. Oh btw I did that report of yours.

 

Its a hard job to do report a scammer. I'll get quite a few done tonight.

 

I've got a suggestion. Move the Report a Scammer/Spammer forum higher up on the forum list.

No, it's not really important, and not browsed that much by regular members, so it is fine how it is.

As for not getting the scam reports, the problem with that is they take so long to be DEFINITELY sure the person scammed. Just because you're a little brat and can't wait for the proper procedures to go through, and justice to be true, doesn't mean others are.

Sometimes people like to make false reports, which results in longer checking, or they like to THINK they have enough proof when they don't. In all reality, if someone scammed, in time, they will be banned, assuredly. Just be patient, and de-vouch the person/warn anyone they trade with if you care THAT much.

Elsewise, deal with it.

Well when you only have like less than 10 active mods for a forum with a shit load of members of course its tough to stop by and go through that section.

And like only half those mods have the power to ban.....

 

Only 24 hours?My god, go do homework or something while you wait. They get it done when they can.

 

The biggest problem with this suggestion is that how things are, people don't really have to see (as the average person) that there are risks of being scammed. They can come here, and get a legitimate trade, and leave.

If this were moved, more users would not register, because of the apparent high risk, considering the number of posts in the board. Most people don't realize that though there are around 19k posts - almost all of those are archived posts.

 

The general ignorance of this forum's members baffles me.

24 hours should be long enough to at least; glance at the forums.

 

I am going to speak with the staff tomorrow about activity in the area, and how the Sectional Mods can help out more than they know. I do agree the section looks like it needs to be cleaned up, and I hope to do it myself after I get home from work, if I must.

P.S.: Please use respect in the way you speak with Sythe.org staff. We are working with a recently instable Staff structure right now, and we do not enjoy taking the time out of our lives to come here for free, and help - then listen to people complain about how we do things. I do not mean to be rude, but with Schooling back on in America, likely half of our staff will be there. Those of us who don't go to school, work for 8 hours per day, and when we get home, we've got likely more to do than just get to Sythe.org. I come on here as a part of routine, and I do what it obviously posted in front of me. On days when I don't go out with my friends, I can sometimes have more time to be on here, over the standard hour, and at those times, I will work in this area.
