Wanna Save $100 With ur Xbox 360

Well,
I recently learned how to use the xbox 360 to connect to xbox live through a laptop instead of having to buy the extremely expensive wireless adapter.

Reqs
I used a wireless network card
a laptop
a xbox 360

and a ethernet cable

Step 1: Insert your wireless network cable.
Step 2: Configure your laptop to connect to a wireless network. I dont have a picture for this because not everybody has a similar laptop.
Step 3: You must go to your working wireless connections settings and enable the connections internet sharing
Step 4: Connect your laptop to 360 using the ethernet cable.Again i dont have a picture because i dont use this setup anymore.
Step 5: Turn on your xbox and go to network settings and test your connection to xbox live. If you cant connect auto go to step 6.

Step 6:Copy the settings from the laptop into your 360's network settings.

basically your laptop is a modem...per say.

I just take my modem.. connect to my xbox and boom..

also if you have a bright house modem anywhere you take it it will work as long as they have cable tv.

doesn't matter what brand of cable they have.. either

 

Ive seen this before somewhere.. wireless adapter aint that expensive anyways comes free with BT broadband. anyways if you included pictures it would be nice.

 

tutone thanks for the advice but there isnt many pictures i could provide because first everybody doesnt have the same laptop. and the wireless adapter is $100 that nobody needs to spend.

Very, Very short guide, No Pictures = :S

Put pics in, ofcourse everyone doesn't have the same laptop but they do have the same ethernet port, etc.

 

who cares about the pics, its easy enough to follow, if you cant follow this without pics, you must have downsyndrone

No color? No Format? No Pictures? It's boring, and it was hard enough deciding either to read it or click back. Err, I DID review it, all I have to say is maybe add some pictures and it'll be decent. But the xbox 360 "official" wireless adapter is the WORST connection you can ever imagine. I've been having to suffer using it for quite awhile. Thanks for the help.
