Why do people swear?

I don't exactly know why people swear it just makes then look dirty ha ha. Everyone should be nicer! ^_^

I mean I'll swear if I get extremely angry or something like that but otherwise, never.

Gimme your reasons. ^_^

Consider an expletive as you would an adjective, only more powerful.

Maybe because they hate their lives. People swear because they think it are cool.

 

Well fuck can be used in many useful ways.. and for some people, swearing just sounds better than saying.. "man that smells like poop" vs "man that smells like shit!"

If I swear which is really is either because I am really really mad at someone or something or because I am being dumb and can't find a better way to express myself. Also I think another reason why I swear in real life is because of habit.

 

Swears are strong words, therefor used to emphasize the sentence, which works very well. Any form of fuck is my favorite.
