    The dangers of clicking links.

I have found an extreme danger to cheaters when clicking links on sythe, srl-forums, rscheata etc. etc.

Have you ever heard of the blackmarks on your account?
    http://www.runescape.com/loginapplet/loginapplet.ws?mod=offenceappeal&dest=viewoffencehistory.ws
    or
    http://www.runescape.com/loginform/loginform.ws?mod=offenceappeal&dest=viewoffencehistory.ws
WARNING: DO NOT CLICK DIRECTLY, COPY AND PASTE INTO NEW WINDOW/TAB

    How it works:
When you click a link, your browser stores a referer url in your HTML DOM.

    Live Example:
    http://martinn.freehostia.com/referer.html
    then
    http://martinn.freehostia.com/proofreferer.html

Jagex could easly pop in obfuscated javascript code that links the referer with applet/form when you send the data. Bam they catch you.

Be-safe, don't click links to jagex directly, copy and paste.

They wont give you black marks for visiting a cheat site. I guess they might look at your account more carefully, but i don't think it matters.

You cannot get banned for visiting a cheat site. But thanks for telling people anyway how jagex track what websites you go to. The only thing that would happen is that tey would monitor your account more closely.

Its called privacy.. I sure Jagex can get sued for sneaking into's peoples history and so and I doubt they would do this to risk getting sued for banning macroers.

It's simple Javascript, any web page can do it (and many do). Google even offers free scripts that will monitor you're site's referrers for you, so you obviously can't get sued for it.

You CAN'T get banned for visiting a cheat site. Doesn't prove you did anything wrong.
