[Spoilers] Game of Thrones - Season 8

The first episode was overhyped. I hope the next one isn't a complete letdown.

Joffrey's death was so anticlimactic. His character was the lead antagonist - he had absolutely zero redeeming qualities, and made him the most universally hated character I've ever seen. Poison is such an unfitting way for him to die. Props on it being unexpected however.

I actually liked Joffrey as a character (antagonist and all) but once he started fucking with my favorite character Tyrion it was time for him to die. I like how unexpected it was as well, regardless of how satisfying it would be for someone to put a knife through his chest.

edit: Oh, I also thought how Tyrion got rid of his girl was stupid as fuck, I hate when they do stuff like that in movies. He could have told her the situation, although she might have been resistant to leave she would have had to agree to.

Nice to see Geoffrey is finally dead, too bad that bitch of a queen is blaming it on the dwarf

 

Quite a slow episode, however still good. Can't wait to see khalesi unleash hell on erryone.

 

The Sam storyline is boring.
The Targaryen storyline is boring and corny.

I love the show because of the cunning characters. Dragons are too OP.

I just got into Game of Thrones. I didn't think I'd like it so much because it's placed long ago. Coincidentally I play runescape... But I gave it a shottt. watched the whole 3 seasons in 3 days, then the next day season 4 came out, so I was extremely excited. I'm now a fan, and my bro litterally got all the books today so I'll get to read them.

 

The way the Unsullied infiltrated the masters/slaves and gave a corny speech in order for the slaves to free themselves was a huge anti climax. Was expecting Khaleesi to reign down upon them with her dragons/army. Personally, was one of the worst scenes thus far.

Though the end scene with the baby and Whitewalker was cool however.

 

Haha I feel the same way man! I started reading the books as well but they are so long and take forever to read. Still they are really good

I gotta agree with the Khaleesi scene. I didn't like it at all. The baby / Whitewalker thing was something i had predicted from last season or so. Still it was good to know that my prediction was right

The clip of next episode with Arya looks very intriguing

 

Slow episode again. The preview of todays episode when showed last week made it look action packed...sadly wasn't.

 

Didn't like this episode much at all, it needs to pick up the pace some. Tyrion wasn't even in this episode? /sad

 

It was fairly interesting to see a different side to Petyr Baelish.. Oberyn still seems pretty lost in the general plot, but I think there's still a lot to come from him.

ps: any episode with a lack of Jaime is instantly not great
pps: seeing Hodor get distressed makes me really sad

 

I agree. The stuff Lysa states she did for Petyr was very interesting. No doubt there will be more and it will lead to something awesome.

 

Agreed with above - Baelish being behind the demise of John Arryn is some food for thought. It connects quite a few dots. You have to feel sorry for him though - the schemer & the screamer.

 

looks like we'll be getting some shirtless badass ramsay action next week

I might be alone in this, but is anyone finding the story with the crippled stark boy to be pretty damn boring?

 

It's slow, not boring...well for me at least. Should pickup soon going by the books.
