Have you ever been arrested/ 'caught by the cops'?

So, of course, there is a story to go along with this thread. I'm taking a General Physics course this summer at my local community college to get some background in physics before I jump into Engineering Physics. Anyway, the course is from 6pm to 9pm and I take it with one of my closest friends. Both of us smoke a lot of weed (though, only at night). So, ironically, right after class is perfect to smoke. There's this spot by the waterfront at a cliff - most beautiful, perfect spot to smoke at. We have smoked there every night we've had class basically with no problems.

Last night, me, my close friend, a friend from class, another close friend and his girlfriend were all smoking there together. We had 3 steamrollers (small, hand-held bong-like objects). Suddenly, three fucking cops come out of no where from behind us. The latter close-friend chucks his steamroller over the cliff really fast (thinking, without it, he can't be in trouble right? Wrong lol.). The cops got really pissed at that. They check all our pockets for more weed and such and put the two other steamrollers in my backpack.

They take us out to the street (which is a cul-de-sac where all of our cars are parked). We had to sit on the curb while they all took down our information from our ID's and the such. They took all my non-weed related objects our of my bag then one of the cops started jumping on my bag, annihilating the steamrollers in there. I had Pokemon Red (classic) in my bag in which the cop commented on, he was like "Niceeee!" lmao.. Anyway, my other friend got his steamroller out of his car too and he had to crush it in front of the cops. Then, they took the extremely small amount of weed I had on me and killed that too. There was probably only half a dime or so.

We got EXTREMELY lucky, however. They let my friends girlfriend off and only gave the rest of us a ticket in which I have to appear in court for. They said it was worse to get a parking ticket, as this would not appear on any records or anything - just a small fine (~$100) or so. Really happy because my parents don't have to find out about this lol!

Other funny thing is, when we were sitting on the curb and everyone's feeling like shit because we were caught by the cops - me and my friend were looking at each other and I just mouth to him "yo I'm so high.." and we just burst out laughing. Turned the worst situation into something pretty funny.

Regardless, they were pretty cool cops. Our charge was the lowest possible, ever, that could be given to someone with weed and the like. My first impression of them were "Wow, fucking dicks", only because when they first confronted us, they were talking such shit. "Fucking idiots/loser" etc.., but I only think this was because my other friend threw his steamroller over the edge right in front of them.

I was also EXTREMELY lucky in the fact that I was trying to buy an 8th just before we went to our spot but my guy didn't answer his phone, which is REALLY strange because he's extremely reliable.

Anywaaaay, have you guys had any experiences related to this? Worse? Please share and discuss.

 

Nope, I haven't been into contact with any cops ever.
And I have never done anything wrong (Except for online RSGP selling )

Not every officer is as lenient as that, you were extremely lucky.

Your friend was lucky. If they saw him toss that stuff then he could've got disposing of evidence if the cops wanted to be dicks.

Closet things I have come to a run in with the cops is mall security that followed me once because I was wearing a hoodie with a hood on.

 

You must not live in Florida lol they are not lenient at all down here, I've been arrested once and came close probably another 4 or 5 times for pot. It's sketchy down here

 

Been pulled over a few times for minor car offences, but never properly arrested.
Cops were pretty cool about it tbh

 

i got beaten up by 4 police officers when í tried to escape with my scooter when i was like 16. like a police chase . it was a tuned scooter which could drive a lot faster than its allowed in germany, at the end they destroyed the scooter and i had to pay 160 € punishmet pay

 

4 cop cars called on me for spray painting on a tree with ccolored hairspray when i was in 7th grade haha. Got wiped off my record after a year though

 

Yes unfortunately too many times. I got 2 possession of marijuana charges, possession of a controlled substance, open container, minor possession of alcohol, public intoxication, loitering, probation violation, running from an outstanding warrant and failure to appear. My first arrest, I originally got charged with felony possession with intent to distribute since it was right under an ounce, I had baggies and scales, but I ended up getting it dropped to a misdemeanor since it was an illegal stop and search. I also beat my controlled substance charge because they only found a baggy with some heroin residue in it. Luckily, I actually have no felonies on my record. My lawyer has gotten me out of a lot of shit, but has also cost me over 10 grand. I ended up spending 2 months in county and I've been on probation for most of the last 5 years. I finally just finished everything last month, so I'm basically done. I'm still on non reporting probation though, which means if I get arrested again, then I'll be serving a minimum of 6 months in jail. I don't plan on ever running into cops again.

 

Lol same situation you where in but i had a little bit under 2g's. They rolled up on us (me and 2 friends, one my age 16, other is 18). We where using the nice bubble bowl, when a cop turned on the sirens once, we where in the car and my friend has been in this situation before, so he quickly took the bowl from me and asked us which one is going down for the weed. I took it because it was my bud. So the cop comes in finds its on me and then see's my friend has the bowl which somehow he cleaned the residue out of in like 30 seconds, and takes a look at it but didn't take it. I personally think it was because he was 18 and it wasn't considered paraphernalia anymore. But they found the weed on me issued me a ticket and i had to go to court. But, they did the court time on a school day so my parents would need to take me to the court house. I had to pay $160 and do 100 hours of community service.

And just a heads up, you'll end up with some community service especially if you don't fight over the price of the ticket. Which i suggest you DON'T.

Almost, My sister and I threw an huge party before. Later the police knocked on the door so me and a girl I know just pretended that we where in a relationship watching a movie together and they fell for it hah.

 

I was "arrested" once when i was 16 and my mom caught me smoking a cigarette. I flipped out and ran away (my mom was very strict). She called the popo and had me arrested and sent to juvenile detention as a lesson for 6 hours. Then dropped the charges .

 

I myself have never been in trouble where the cops have to arrest me and such but I remember when I used to be in middle school how one of my girl friends got in a fight with this other girl and she threw her head into the ground and her face just got smashed. She was arrested and sent to juvi for like 3 days, then it was like a chain reaction more and more people started fighting and getting arrested. I knew all of them because I was one of the "popular" kids so yeah but I never even considered getting in trouble like that.

 

Yeah. Caught with 4 friends who all of which had weed on them and at the time I was super stoned and cops didn't even know. . Got sent to court and had to do a drug class which I just graduated from yesterday! Stoked.

 

Never got busted with weed, almost did, but got lucky. The closest I've ever come to getting busted doing anything illegal was like 2 and a half years ago I took a girl to see a movie, and after we ended up making out in the parking lot of the movie theater, things were escalating so we decided to go find somewhere a little safer to continue. We drove to her subdivision and parked in the very back where there were no houses or anything. We were having sex and just as things were wrapping up a car pulls around the corner, shining a spotlight on my car, it was a cop. I scramble into the front seat, pulling my pants up, she is in the backseat, pulling her pants up, and just as I finish buttoning my pants the cop rolls up. He gets out comes to my window and asks what we were doing (windows were all fogged up, it was winter) and asks for license, registration, etc, and then takes the girl out of the car and puts her into his car. She told him we were dating and were fighting in the car and that's why she was in the backseat, cause she didn't want to be near me. Cop bought it, and let us go, I was only 16 and never had been in trouble before so it scared the hell out of me.

 

got caught by someones neighbor for garaging when i was in 9th grade. Me and 2 other friends were stealing booze from garage fridges. The neighbor chassed us down in his car (was a epic car chase), and had the cops catch up to us and arrest all 3 of us.

 

I've been caught around 4 times smoking pot, each time I only had about .3 grams left as I already had the rest, the first 3 times I got caught, they notified my parents, and I got warnings, no fine etc, the fourth time I was caught I bought an 8th the previous day and was caught with a gram or so on me, also I went to the station, had to spend 3 hours in a cell, and write a statement aswell as getting offered help to help me quit (like fuck I give weed up) lol, aswell as a £50 fine my parents paid, since then I've been more sneaky where I smoke it (only in my room when parents are out(followed by a litre of deodrant spraid lol)) or in the back allys late at night (No-one ever goes there), and in school I was no saint, excluded around 6 times a year :s the worst thing I did got my arrested, my english teacher and I were arguing, I threw my pen at him and punched the wall which is hollow and it broke, i then threw a couple of chairs, the teacher tried restraining me by grabbing me and holding me, then I got out by pushing him off to the wall and walked out pushing his laptop off his desk (thankfully didnt break, fuck paying for that lol) and then the head teacher who had already been called stopped me and started yelling, and I made a racist comment to him (I'm NOT racist) I was just massivly pissed off, I got a 6 day exclusion, suprised not perment, and had to pay £80 for the wall/couple chairs broke :/
