who is the best fighter of all time?

considering bruce lee wasnt as much of a fighter as he was an entertainer and martial arts practitioner. Just saying you can stack him against a guy like anderson silva or lyoto machida because those guys you KNOW can throw down and can take a hit . Bruce lee is one of the greatest martial arts practitioners of all time, but i have yet to actually see any film of him truly fighting. Jeet Kune Do is an extremely deadly martial art (Bruce Lee made Jeet Kune Do) But so is alot of others simply inventing it and showing some exhibitions does not show any efficiency as a fighter . Shit changes when someone cracks you across the jaw, just ask any "black belt" that gets in his first street fight. All this being said i would have to go with someone like Anderson Silva or lyoto machida as they both have very innovative fighting styles, as far as entertainment goes i can ALWAYS watch chuck liddel or kimbo fight, just the threat of HORRENDOUS ko power they have makes for great entertainment. Actually greatest fighter of all time would HAVE to be Royce Gracie, he won the ultimate figher championships multiple times back when it was BAREKNUCKLE , no weightclasses, and all in a tourny format, meaning many many fights in one day. And guess what ?! he won it all barely throwing any punches he introduced america to jiu jitsu REVOLUTIONIZING UFC and any form of hand to hand combat. Something about a skinny little goofball looking brazilian kicking tank abbots ass just gets me hyped. Royce Gracie hands down anyone who argues another UFC fighter would be throwing history to the wind

Bruce Lee was an incredible fighter for his build. He pushed his body to the edge in order to try and be strong as possible, while still being fast. Some of the things he did are amazing.

Bruce Lee had a number of street fights when he was younger, in any case, a street fight can not weigh up to a professional fight so this is sort of irrelevant.

I agree that Bruce Lee was more of a performer than a professional fighter though - (obviously he could fight, just wasn't his focus).

Kimbo can't fight. He finds some low class trash to beat up - that can't constitute as a fight. Go look at Kimbo's record in the UFC - he quickly learnt his lesson.

I'm a fan of Fedor, but I'm not sure if he's the best fighter of all time.

 

oh im not saying kimbo is a great fighter by any means, but damn is it fun to watch him ko some street trash. It was mildly entertaining to watch his ufc stunt. Fedor is good not the best. Really this topic is way too subjective

Bruce Lee was a good fighter but he was more an entertainer and actor and stuff. I say someone like Anderson Silva is better. They spend every day of their lives taking and dealing hits.

Silva is sick but I dont think he's as good as St-Pierre or Fedor, i'd love to see a brawl between those 3 and Ali.
