Could not load adds.....

Recently when I load up the downloadable client it loads up then tells me something along these lines

"Could not load adds, closing down"

Really Jagex? Can't load your adds(your fault) so just shut down?

I haven't seen this error before. Can you try screenshotting and showing us?

edit: can't get it to do it right now; basically just a box pops up and says "coulden't load adds, shutting down" then the client closes.

 

Did you try out Swiftkit?

If you don't want to do that, try checking your antivirus/firewall program. Perhaps it is blocking the ads on the website and therefore the game will not load? I wouldn't be surprised if RS was made to shut down if it was unable to load the ads with the game... Jagex wants to make sure we all see them.

I already have swiftkit -.- I don't really like it all that much(rather play in rs window) My firewall isn't messing with it. Im not sure what happened before; it stopped doing that now. And yeah, I wasn't suprised either.

I already answered that; I told you what the error is. For some reason its not happening any more. It just pops up a little window that says "unable to load adds, closing down" then it closes.

Glad to hear your problem is fixed though. Unfortunately RS seems to have small problems like this from time to time, but they seem to get patched pretty fast. I've never heard of this one though :huh: My best guess would have been a firewall block.

 

Yeah; doesn't really matter the problem. Just kinda random that it would close because it can't load adds. And no swiftkit blows. There are better clients on sythe even.
