[Request for Restitution] Ix Syed Xi

Skip to the quote to go directly to what Syed has to say. Otherwise, I would like to take a minute to explain how much Syed has changed since 2010.

I obviously think his ban reason was unwarranted. The only real bad thing he did was being involved with the whole Sindre leak (after he was banned) and attempting to frame Farcast after he felt guilty with what happened with Sindre. Keep in mind that Farcast forgave him (http://puu.sh/V9Fk) for the attempted frame, so the only blood stains that remain are from his stupid actions after his invalid ban.

Since then, Syed has really been through a rough time. To help him, I offered him a job at RSUltimate near the beginning of 2012. Honestly, I expected him to be the same old Syed: immature, sketchy, but I was surprised with the results. Syed is easily my best worker, and he is literally the person I trust the most on Earth. He has access to my bank, Moneybookers, Western Union account, and all of the gold stock in RSUltimate (easily $20,000 at this point) and never does a thought come to me that he would scam or hurt my customers. He has sincerely changed, and it is unfair to ban him for such a silly reason, and then scrutinize him for one thing he did wrong after his ban.

I believe the final decision is Sythe's, as Syed's account was finally deleted for just going on Ghost IRC. He doesn't even go on it anymore. He's active with the Sythe IRC now, and honestly, if that's the only thing keeping him from getting unbanned, I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

Please just take this into consideration seriously. Anyone who knows me knows that I wouldn't just throw around my trust: I will literally cover any possible harm that comes from Syed's unbanning. I will pay for anyone scammed or hurt from future wrongdoings by Syed, as I'm sure of his maturity change.

 

Over the past month or two, I've seen literally the biggest change that I've ever seen from anyone online, from syed. There was a time a while ago whilst I was still a nooby and believed in certain things on this site which may have made bans like syed's get escalated to the point of deletion, I certainly did not help, anyway. I assumed syed was like the rest of the idiots - out to cause as much trouble for sythe.org and Richard as humanly possible for no obvious reward except a laugh.

But I was wrong, ridiculously so to think that syed was just another time waster, My early days of actual activity around here and as staff was dealing with situations surrounding syed - and they were easily all blown out of proportion, I distinctly remember a time when even talking to syed could be grounds for a demotion, but at the time - what could you say? why would I possibly need to remain in conversation with someone who was well behind one of the biggest SL leaks we've ever experienced. Yes, it was a stupid thing to get involved in, but I guess he thought he was never getting unbanned.

Syed has shown such a large change of character, its amazing.. I look forward to speaking to him on the IRC.. I feel bored when he's asleep on his insanely awkward timezone! He's personally proven to me that I can trust him, therefore I support his unban and account recreation, if this wasn't the reason why High pardon was made, then I don't know why it was.

 

I support Syed's unban/account creation.
When I first denied his dispute, I went by his past actions. With me never meeting him before I had no preference about him and chose solely on his ban reasons.
But I have seen him in IRC over the past few weeks/months and I have rather good judge of character and I'd trust him.

 

This is something sythe will have to approve.

Syed's ban reason was utter bullocks but that being said he did just pardon and was denied.

So basically even though he got his pardon denied it wouldn't have mattered since Richard was the one who deleted him because he was a member of ghosts and he was already unbanned for the other stuff.

 

Over the last few months I've gotten to know Syed, and from those experiences I feel that he would be a good member of Sythe.org. You have my support.

I don't really remember a lot about Syed at this point. In fact I don't remember posting the post above(but I did). He was definitely annoying but I'll stand by my original decision.

 

I am aware it is a nice thread.

But if you look at his dispute which came after that thread both Finn and Pen were fine with his unbanning. His current deletion is for ghosts by Richard, I believe.

 

Definite support of his unban. When he was originally banned for "trolling" it was over modlogs in a conversation with Skele (who didn't even care.) It was simply used as an excuse to ban him >.<

PS. I did most of the talking in that conversation, and I was banned for "trolling" since there was a pending investigation on me.. His account was just thrown into being banned as well for being in the conversation.

tl;dr was an excuse and I support

 

I have a similar opinion to everyone else in this thread, though I do not know him as well as frequent users of the irc. (I've come in contact with Syed over the months.) I would like to support an unban.

 

I don't know him aside from what I've seen in the IRC, but sure... I wouldn't mind giving him another chance.

 

Sythe has given permission for you to come back, Syed. The only condition is that you have a TwC rank for 6 months. I've been asked to keep a close eye on you also, so watch your step young man.
