School Barriers

So recently I saw threads on getting around schools Internet filters. Can anybody explain to me on how to do this?

 

go to a proxy on google, hopefully that isn't blocked.

 

My schools computers are very hard to do it for, all proxies are blocked so that method is not working. One way you can do it is if you are using IE you can type in C: in the browser, go to program files, internet explorer, then open intewiz.exe. Then you uncheck "Use manual proxy" and restart the browser. This is what we have to do, not sure if it will work or not for you.

you can use proxies etc. VPN's , you can try typing IP (url u want) in command prompt and use the IP of a site to get around internet filters.

But proxies were probably the most common thing that we used in highschool.

 

Yeah CMD won't work as it's Disabled

 

That sucks man , do you have any knowledge about VPN?

 

I know what they are and what there function is, but aren't they expensive ?

 

Well not really. some cost like $20 but their are free ones

 

I currently pay approx $12 a month for a Linux VPS.
The specs are
Linux CentOS
2gb ram
40gb HDD
600gb traffic monthly

Linux VPS's require that you download terminal softwares such as Putty, but I can also get a Windows VPS at the same price, with a difference of 1gb ram and 300gb traffic.

But I don't know of much free VPNs that are worth using, would be great if some Sythe members shared a list.

 

Okay if I didn't use a VPN what other way can I get around? I'm on right now.

 

Grab a bootdisk, change the administrator password, login as admin = win.
