Epiphone LP vs Fender Strat

Thinking about getting a new guitar. I absolutely love the tone of any epiphone guitar, especially the Les Pauls, yet the Stratocasters imo are slightly lighter and easier to play.

Also, if I do get an Epiphone LP, I need to decide from one of these styles:

Alpine White
Ebony (black)
Vintage Sunburst

Any thoughts on what I should get? Anyone have any experience with these guitars?

If it's an american strat and not a squier, I'd go with that. If not I'd go with the alpine white LP.

 

i think it kind of depends on what kind of music you're gunna be playing

The music I play generally incorporates lots of feedback, so Fender's single coil p-ups are perfect if you're into that type of thing.

Personally, I prefer Fender guitars mostly because they have a more "twangy" sound to them, as opposed to the denser-sounding Les Pauls. But that's not to say you can't get an aggressive sound out of a strat.
Also, Fenders have slimmer necks, making them more comfortable (for me at least).
