Will Jagex ban me for taping down one of my keys?

To stay logged in and afk, I taped down an arrow key. Will jagex detect and ban me for this?

 

No they will not.

 

Be careful mate, Jagex has this revolutionary new taped-key detecting software that catches even the most clever and cautious AFK trainers and then smacks them with the banhammer.

However, if you lay a stapler on the arrow key instead, it is MUCH harder to detect and you can usually fly nice and low under their radar and avoid detection, and a subsequent ban.

cut off ur penis and use it to hold thekeyboard ofcourse that wouldn't hold it

put ducktape over it .

 

they actually can ban u lol, and sometimes they will. it will never be a major though, just a minor

 

could have just used an auto clicker, no tape needed. lol

Ok, on a serious note though: AFK training by definition is against the rules. You are not allowed to gain any experience points unless you are physically at the computer yourself. Most people "AFK" train where they are watching a movie, browsing the forums, watching Youtube etc, but they are in fact still sitting at the computer.

I have a hard time imagining Jagex actually banning you for doing this, but just thought I would offer a few words of caution (other than the info I already provided you about the taped-key detection software ).

 

i doubt you will get banned, you might get a black mark though

 

At most you will get a 14 day ban for minor macroing.

 

I'm not so sure Jagex has still been giving these out after the bot nuke.

 

I'm pretty sure you get autologged anyway if all you do is move the screen around.

 

it will still log you after 5 min I think

 

I believe this is correct unless there is a direct change or some sort of a click or something else to keep it active.

I will probably use an autoclicker to click on the xp counter button.

 

Why not try out SIMBA? instead of taping a key down?
