Seriously. Wow, Dedication.

I guess he does use pre-mades and stuff, but could you make ALL of it from scratch?

 

Wow, I watched the whole thing and it was just wow. I mean, it took 7hrs and 45mins to do and the change from the original is amazing.

 

Exactly why I want to learn from him.

Obviously, they're the ones that are licensed as graphic designers and have much more experience in photoshop than any of us, but I must say; that looks amazing.

I hate digging up old threads, but I was just reading your comment and wanted to add this.

I've been apart of the YouTube graphics community from the beginning, and seriously, he's not a licensed designer. I know 12 year old kids that have put out similar stuff, he started out by making YouTube layouts and then started doing photo manipulation, and honestly, it wouldn't take long to learn this.

 

Look at his other video's and you know what I am talking about.

 

Yeah, I know. I've been subbed to him and have known him for over a year now, that's what I'm saying. Everyone in the graphics community started by torrenting Photoshop and watching tutorials on YouTube. None of these people are licensed, they're just good at what they do.

 

With licensed I ment graduated P:

 

Hmmm nope, I joined an actual graphics site years and years ago, and learnt from lots of trial and error and getting inspiration from other people. Never once looked up a youtube tutorial. But I get what kin means, it's specifically people who are graduated with a degree in graphic design, would probably not find this difficult. Personally I just see it as a whole lot of cutting and pasting renders, like any photomanipulation large piece. Fair enough if he had digi painted the whole scene, but just putting lots of separate images together really isn't that difficult. Even to do well and make it look realistic is just a matter of blending, colouring and lighting to a reasonable level.

 

Ive known this guy for a year or two, and I can assure you that Im right, Im not here to argue about it. I know the community that he's apart of, it all started by a few guys posting tutorials and that came to be a huge community that I am happy to say I was one of the first to join and post videos with. But feel free to keep arguing with me, I know for a fact how he got into the community and how he learned. All self-taught. Im not saying that everyone does it that way, but he has. As for you talking about some other community, that's irrelevant, Im talking about the YouTube graphics scene, they're all self-taught for the most part, usually learning from tutorials and practice. And like you said, this stuff really isn't THAT hard to do, it just takes a lot of time and knowledge of blending renders and stock images.

Nah I'm not arguing with you, I'm agreeing that this work isn't really that amazing and it's a bit overhyped. It was just lucky timing on his behalf with the whole transformers fad.. plenty of other amazing photomanips around that haven't got so much attention because they aren't "in"

 

Yeah, that's what I mentioned during my 1st or 2nd post that this guy really has no formal education in doing this, he kinda just learned how to blend renders and he was able to create a scene like this... Im sure that if I gave you the exact renders he had his hands on then you could replicate it pretty damn well.

 

This isn't difficult it just takes a lot more patience than most people have.

 

Shall I make a YouTube channel and do this stuff, too? Not sure..
