really?! i thought the world was filled with fluffy clouds and unicorns, but seriously, get over your self, let her do what she wants to do. So if she wants to smoke, shes probably stressed about something, maybe its a sign that you suck as a boyfriend.

Well that proves to me talking to you is useless. If you think the world is filled with fluffy clouds and unicorns, you are in dire need of medical assistance. It could be that I am a sucky boyfriend, then again there are many better things to do than smoke when you are stressed. Simple minded thinking like yours leaves no room for imagination. So you can not form other options in your head, just follow the crowd.

Kinda sad that she lied about smoking...maybe to her parents, but shouldn't to her boyfriend.

 

It's quite normal for addicts to lie about not having any problem at all even to the closest persons around them.
So I don't think you can bring this situation to that kind of line, it's not the same.

 

I know it's a double standard, but I hate when girls smoke. I smoke and so does my girlfriend, but I hate it. It looks trashy.

Also maybe your girlfriend hid the fact she smoked because she knew how you would react. Not too many people buy cartons at a time unless they are pretty serious smokers. If you think burning her cigarettes is going to keep her from touching another one, then you're just incredibly gullible. It would be pretty damn funny if she started smoking more just to piss you off. I'm not saying smoking is a good thing, but trashing her things sure as hell isn't going to help her quit.

Also she has not been smelling like a ton of perfume, nor smoke. As far as I know she has quit. If she does start back, and smokes tons just to spite me, I will dump her. Not going to phase me. Just remember, always move forward never back.
