    FIFA - corruption

Personally I have come to the conclusion that FIFA are the biggest joke in the sports industry.
We have let it gone on for too long, and let it go on all under the tips of our noses.

For anyone who doesn't know, FIFA have banned the England squad from having the well known and respected poppy on their kit this weekend. I assume everyone, even the yanks, know what the poppy resembles so I won't go into detail.

    Any way, I wrote this on FIFA's Facebook wall this morning;

"I think it is disgusting what you have done, not only does the poppy resemble who have given us freedom, but it resembles people who are STILL fighting for our freedom. FIFA I hope you as a group take a long hard think about the decision you have made, you have disrespected the families of the fallen, the wounded and the fighting. Fuck you FIFA."

Does anyone support what I am getting at? Discuss?

FIFA's not one person. I'm sure there were people that didn't want to ban it that got outvoted or something. I think sports are weird.

I think you'll be amazed. The organisation it's self is that corrupt, it is pretty much ran by Sepp Blatter and his wods of cash in brown envelopes.

Corruption in Fifa is probably about as old as Fifa itself.
This is only one case out of the many examples of it.

A/the World Cup in Qatar? Great example, too.

Banned from what exactly? And that is disgusting behaviour.
What are the reasons for banning and where is the source?

A poppy is a flower. It appears to resemble a penis if you stretch your imagination quite a bit.

The poppy being referred to is this:

You put it on your shirt near your heart to remember all the soilders who have died fighting for the freedom of your country. You wear it from around beginning of November till November 11th.

I'm English, and it sucks that we can't wear it, but it's been blown out of proportion, why do we all of the sudden need to wear it now? Why not 10 20 or 30 years ago?

We have worn it for a few years as I can recall, but FIFA are saying if they allow the poppy it opens up to lots of other countries wanting to wear some sort of charitable cause on their top.

If I recall England wore it against Argentina few years ago, remember those who died in the Falklands
