Oh it is believe me, if you decide to come on set your nick to your Sythe user, that way we know who everyone is without having to ask.

 

Anyone have a troubleshoot for minecraft not working on a computer? My buddy is trying to get minecraft on his computer but is having trouble and I am on it now attempting to solve the problem.

 

I can connect to it, although it does go off and on now and again.

 

It may be spotty once in a while, but it usually clears up in 30 minutes or so. My ISP is USUALLY stable.

EDIT: I was successful, we now have more memory and should be able to run much smoother.

 

Gooood, lag is horrible on Minecraft, everything just fucks up.

 

I pasted in the schematics for a huge spleef arena today, it's looking nice.

 

I've also added SpleefExtreme. All users have permissions to use the following commands:
/spleef join spleef (this will teleport you to the server's official arena)
/spleef leave (which will remove you from any competition, but will not return you to your previous location)
/spleef return (I think? I'll update this later if it's not correct. Either way, this should return you to your last location before entering spleef.)
/spleef spectate spleef (will teleport you to the stands of the official spleef arena.)
I will probably also add the ability to use /spleef start spleef in case a staff member isn't on to start the match for you.
We will also be running competitions with prizes later on.


In other news:
We're going to make a move to a VPS. I can't allocate more than 1GB of RAM from my computer for some reason, and when I get on the server myself (or minecraft at all , really) it lags the server because of how much RAM running minecraft takes. It takes a lot of available space away from the server SOOOOO VPS it is. All donations are accepted, we have an in-server donor rank with a lot of extra permissions for you all to use.

When I purchase our slot, I will update everyone on the new IP before making the switch. So when I get it, it will be about a day before I make the switch.

Server is down for maintenance as I restart my computer and modem and delete excessive files to speed up the server a bit. Will be back in about 10 minutes max.

EDIT: we are back up and running, and it's noticeably faster I think. Not as many "can't keep up!" warnings in Pail.


EDITEDIT: Not sure how long the server was down last night, sorry about that. Must have brushed the power button when I sent to bed.


EDITEDITEDIT: idksorry. I'm going to make the move to a VPS as SOON as I can afford it. Not sure why it's acting up this morning.

Permissions is fixed, server is fixed, still going to make the change to a VPS asap though. We could use the extra boost in speed and RAM

What kind of VPS are you going to be switching to? And how much a month will it cost to maintain?
