hm that seems sort of harsh. after all, people do use runescape items and commercial fonts in their graphics, but they don't get banned for it.

this just feels like kinaesthetic is trying to remove competition

Kina looked for it, he obv wanted a way to get rid of the competition.

 

I doubt it, everyone goes to Kina regardless.

 

I've heard that Kina himself rips graphics, and if he does, then I see no reason why he should be spared and the competitions banned.

 

That's not even remotely true.. There's numerous other gfx artists that people use. "Kina", might be the most well established on Sythe, but that sure as hell doesn't mean everybody goes to him/her.

 

If he was banned for using effects that he doesnt own then everyone in the graphics section should be banned for using ripped photoshop versions, c4ds, textures, brushes that they don't own. I'm sorry but what did you think 99% of people in the graphics section do, might as well get started on banning them all.

EDIT: looking at his dispute, it's over directly ripping rather than appropriating the said light effects into his own work. Which is fine to a certain extent, but still, a more solid definition should be set in place.

 

He doesn't, I've seen him make several sigs, including mine, on livestream in front of me.

He's banned for that, as well as for an extremely large handful of other spam and/or petty rulebreaking he's posted since his ban. He was unbanned into the "Last Chance" usergroup, which is 1 infraction away from a permanent ban. I've PMed regarding this, and he apparently doesn't care enough to mind the rules, even still.

FTR, I didn't know exactly if he'd be permanently banned for his first infraction. It's the first person in the LC usergroup that I've encountered, and it was made by Govind before I was reinstated. Oh well. I let Govind know about the ban; if Govind wants to unban him, it's fine with me.

I'm eagerly awaiting the dispute.
