Wouldn't the purchasing of said guide call into questions a persons motive, or true character? Or is your guide based off of not redefining ones character?

In reality, purchasing this guide would not increase your chances at all, in fact, I would be wary of those purchasing it simply because they would show their intentions to be less than that of a positive personality.

That's just an outside observation though, haven't read it or anything, just curious as to how you would view those who use this guide if YOU were a webmaster.

 

I wouldn't say it redefines somebody and hides their true character, but rather giving advice on what they should be doing to be the best user they can be. Yes, it does tell people to stop doing things but it's more general stuff that everybody does day to day that can be perceived as annoying.

Most of sales have been from members with a rather low post count and only a handful of people who I would consider potential to become a moderator. The reason why user (the users with only a handful of post) buy the guide is to be a "better member and fit in the community", well that's what they tell me. If their worried about it reflecting negatively on them buying the guide they can pm to buy it.

I would be glad that users are enthusiastic to help the site and the community.

Bought this guide and it is really informative and helpful! Any member that is aspiring to becoming an extremely legit member on Sythe should buy this guide! It does not only go over how to NOT be an asshole, it does go over how to create strong relations (not with mods/admins), with users! I cannot say anymore without leeching the guide so I have to cut it off there!

One critique I can offer is not to insult certain individuals based on their posts. Although it does make them look extremely unprofessional and stupid, you don't need to point it out to ever member that buys your guide, no matter how funny and idiotic it makes the person that said it seem!

I completely agree with this, but I thought this was a little funny. See bold.

 

To clarify about the section picking on the one individual - I was originally never going to put it into my guide until he came onto my thread and started posting things like this guide will hide peoples true face, get corrupt and all other ridiculous things. His attitude was horrendous and quite frankly deserved it. Anyways, I've seen him do the same thing I clearly say not to do in the guide (the section about him) a number of times after adding the guide.
