OGV and the changes

Just like to say that Karl has done a good job bringing back the OGV team. However, my guide was rightfully verified by the previous OGV team and i had to wait over 3 weeks before they decided to verify my guide. My [VERIFIED] tag was taken off which i feel is unfair. I also think it's unfair on those who have a legit real life guide which can't be verified.

Good that the OGV team is back, stupid real life guides can't be verified. This is the reason why people who actually sell guides to be put into the OGV team perhaps...Karl made some really good appointments but some only perhaps sell a few accounts and buy gp, it doesn't make them fit for the job.

 

I couldn't agree more, although it's good that the OGV team is back, the need for people more proficient in the guides section is still there, having experience in CERTAIN markets isn't enough because not all of the guides are bound to the game-related markets.

 

What exactly are you suggesting here, do you want old verified guides to have their tags back or to verify IRL guides ?

I do not support old guides getting their tags back without verification.
Before I support IRL guides being verified, I would like to know why they are not being verified now.

 

Give it a week or two, and we'll see. Complaining about it right now is just kind of pointless because they have only been effective for a limited time.


I think RL guides should be able to be verified, because they are the main reason a lot of people complain about grandiose claims. $2,000 a day doing 20 minutes work... Bah...

 

1.) Real Life guides are not available AT THIS TIME. I made a sticky in the real life guides section today saying so, I'd like the start of the new OGV to progress quickly, we have alot of new faces, some are unused to processing Verification, and without examples to look at, they've gone in pretty blindly (Doing my best to help them), once they have RS Guides verification to a point that I'm happy with, then I'll allow Real Life Guides.

2.)All guides that were verified need to be re-verified. if yours is a real life guide then I recommend you wait a week or two before trying to submit it.

3.) You didn't both contacting me before posting this, I would have answered any questions pertaining such topic.

4.)People who sell guides shouldn't be in the OGV imo, they have alternate motives compared to community involved members, this is a service for sythe to improve the validity of guides.
