Which of these do YOU prefer? [SOTM Entry]

Assuming that the Sig of the Week is now "of the Month", I've decided to enter in the festivities. Hopefully I can inspire more activity in the area, and we can get back to weekly competitions yet again.

More to the point: Which of these do you prefer?

I love the sun gleaming on the shore-line, and the way the waves are stretching toward the still water. I most-definitely prefer that one.

 

I agree, the sun gleaming down is a nice relaxing feeling.

 

After SoTM can I use this one to make a tag, I really like it.

 

Absolutely. Anything I make is free to distribute so long as you don't try to make money on it.

 

i think the sun one it just has more going on for it

could have been an AMAZING photograph if the sun didn't have the 'atomic blast' effect. It's still quite good but could have been better :3

 

Admittedly, I could have taken an HDR image here, but for a quick snap, this was pretty nice. If I get serious about photography again, I plan to HDR every shot.

Congrats on 2500 posts, the "sun gleaming" one definitely has more going for it.

Not much to say, but it is quite nice.

 

The latter is far too bright in my opinion, with it being conceptually pretty cliche. Compositional elements are quite nice.

Prior is ever so slightly out of focus, and it's really bugging me out

 

I like the sea one the most, but like everyone else said; The sun is very, VERY bright.
If it was less bright, it would've be a hell of a nice photograph.

 

Sun is bit to bright if it was like half-way down the water I think it'd be perfect, but its the one i like more.
