Is Dragon Dyce mod supported?

Was just wondering because it's common knowledge that p-mods aren't supposed to be dicing or host dicing, but yet I saw a couple of pmods the other day betting on over/under. Hear they're also dropping 60b worth of stuff soon lol

 

Never heard of such a rule and I don't see why shouldn't they be allowed to dice?

I wouldn't say they are "mod supported" though (in terms of RS mods)... Just because some rs mods dice there. It is somewhat common for dice "clans" to use pmods to mute people who speak out against them or advertise in their area, etc.

 

Nope, player mods can do whatever they want (as long as they follow the rules). Jmods can't, they can't trade other people or drop items.

 

if there are pmods that actually do that...they should be demoted quick...

 

It is also the case where someone "rents" the pmod account.

 

I see your point but I'm pretty sure Jagex doesn't care if Pmods dice. If they didn't like dicing that much they would just end it.

 

I agree, if jagex had a problem they would limit it to accounts over 18 (if the account submitted an age on creation) or take it out of the game all together.

 

As far as I know, Jagex has told p-mods they cannot HOST dice/trust games. They are allowed to partake in such, however.

And as previously stated, there are p-mods that work "for" or "With" dice clans in order to mute rival clan-members. This doesn't happen much, however but it does happen. Normally the p-mods just mute players trying to act as impostors and who are trying to scam.

 

I have quite a few pmod friends who I dice with all the time. It's not against their Code of Conduct, I'm sure they wouldn't risk losing mod over dicing anyway.

 

Not sure. But Sparc Mac supports them now. Pretty bigt I say.

 

This is not true. Pmods cannot have anything to do with trust games such as dicing/flower game. They can't bet or host.

 

This would be understandable, but completely hypocritical of Jagex.. if they look down on dicing and gambling so much, they should just remove it from the game or find a way to regulate it. As fun as dicing can be sometimes, it really doesn't belong in a game full of young kids. Exposure to gambling and impulsively spending habits at a young age is probably not in their best interests..

 

Dicing is a form of trust trading and is against the rules.

 

There was an email going round to all Player mods about using their muting powers to help dicing clans after multiple cases were found of it happening. So I would say jagex does look down on dicing. I have also seen Jagex state that any form of trust games are against the rules. I would say a player mod probaly shouldn't be hosting but just playing wouldn't be to bad.

 

From what I have seen Jmods are against individual scam artists, but quietly support large dicing clans like Dragon Dyce --- we have gone to them in the past to resolve issues, like when 30 of our members were muted by a rogue Pmod, we contacted a Jmod and had that Pmod de-modded overnight.

If there were mods hosting, that would be even more a slap in the face by Jag. Player mods really shouldnt be snaggling money out of other players, (IMO).

 

It would definitely benefit Jagex as a whole to keep Dragon Dyce in business, simply because if there was nobody trusted to dice, then scammers will jump in. I doubt Jagex likes dicing because it turns out trillions of GP in the hands of RWTers, but at least their playerbase isn't being outright scammed when Dragon Dyce is there to give people the option of doing it legitimately.

 

Pmods aren't allowed to host, no. That might lead to a demodding, even if they are legit.
