    I think you get what I mean. Anyways, Several Clients have begun to ask for that type of thing in their Sigs / UI / Whatever, But I can't figure out how to make it no matter where I look. Is there any place that really teaches making these?

    Top one is a plugin for adobe after effects that Kin uses, called optical flares. Bottom one is just some soft brushing or some type of white object with a glow around it.

    You could do this by hand in Photoshop as well by placing a small white circle, duplicating it, and using Gaussian Blur. repeat duplication on that layer and blur twice as much the second time. Repeat as desired for this over-glow effect.

    It looks like the Pure one you could do with a bit of clever displacement mapping, smudging, and sharpening.
