Is time travel possible?

i dont know if you can travel back in time or travel to the future. because if you travel back whos to stop you from creating the future. and how can you create the future if you came from the future.i think if we were to ever be able to time travel it would have to be traveling to a different demension where the future hasnt been written yet. so it would be something like demension hopping. and if youre able to go into the time of another demension then whats to say that someone from a future demension cant come into ours and make it into their own personal eutopia. but that leads to another argument. how many demensions are there and who says what you can and cant do in that demension. but then again we would have to time travel first to start talking about demensions so its all just a big fat circle

 

I have heard travelling back in time could be possible with something related to speed of light but its highly said time travel to future is impossible because the future are the decisions you make at each moment and every single moment is planned and if time travel to future was possible I believe it would be based on your current events, lets say for one day i fully set my mind into becoming the president and i travel in the future and i am president? As for the past, its saying something has been done and in reality you can change things like writing something, erasing it and rewriting it.

 

probaly like 2 seconds in the past is possible but it probaly takes alot of resources to do it and not worth it.

 

I am not going to say either. Time travel technically is possible due to the fact neutrino's travel faster than light, so if we could travel at this speed, we could arrive before the light would, permitting timetravel.

No time travel is not possible, if it were someone would of came back from the future and cured cancer or taught themselves how to make a time machine.

 

those are the only two reasons you could think of that would make someone come back in time? >.>

You would see yourself before you kill yourself. It is not possible, we would have see people from the future, if time traveling is possible.

There's no future, everything is already done, nobody can change the future or the past.

Well, maybe UFO is something from the future?

 

I thought that by proving something can travel faster than the speed of light, it also proves that time travel would be possible?

But realisticly, even if it was possible at some point in time, it would not be for the general public. If it was avaliable to the general public, we would have the "Grandfather paradox" all over the place.

However, guns were not invented for the general public....if you see my point.

 

It is possible to go into the future, using wormholes which are the bending of the fabric of space and time. Also travel 1 million lightyears away from earth and look back then you would see in the past.

 

traveling faster than light would allow you to catch up to light, but it wouldnt 'turn back clocks'???

pilots go faster than sound, doesn't mean they hear everything before other people? ... right?

by this token light travels faster than sound so if you did go 'back in time' you'd still be hearing stuff from the past?

i don't know i just don't understand how traveling at a fast speed will rewind the universe. not possible with current theory imo
