It was by Jagex, why?

- With an IP, only thing you can do is DDoS which will kick you off the internet.
- You cannot receive any viruses from only having someone's IP, they will have to send you a file (text files don't count since, they can't contain viruses) and if you accepted it, you will have to OPEN it for it to work.
- Why was there a blank IP? Obviously because Jagex doesn't want you to know their computer IP's so people can't leak them, only logical they blank it out and empty your account. Anyone else other than Jagex would of had their IP straight shown because proxies CANNOT be used to log into RuneScape, other than HotSpot Shield and even with that, their IP's show, so, it's not possible.
- Only other thing he could of done was while you were in the restroom, he snuck into your house and emptied your account than ran out since he knew your address which is most likely not even a reasonable idea, lol.

Jagex it is. Sorry about your lost, my heart sunk when I read the story...too much of a loss.

 

The white partyhat dissapeared midway during a trade, the rest didn't. I'd have to agree with arcus, I'm thinking of the possibility of more p2p trading at discreet locations.

I have been thinking it over though, and I can't possibly imagine how a guy would have been able to clean not only the character he was trading with, but ALL of your mules at the same time too. And all in the short span of you basically going to use the washroom.

I have heard alot of rumours lately about Jagex "resetting" or "removing" alot of wealth from people's accounts who are suspected bulk gold buyers/sellers. Alot of these large one sided trades seem to tip them off, and they chain wipe/"adjust" all of your accounts associated with your IP address. This seems like the most likely explanation to me, as the chance of this guy hitting every single one of your mules that fast is very unlikely. I would look into this and see if you can find anymore information about Jagex wiping RWT accounts.

Horrible loss I would assume it may be Jagex due to no IP being there. I don't play RuneScape anymore though, but a mass wipe could be likely..

I feel for you, I hope the answer comes up.

 

Use more mules and use proxies. I have over 325 mules atm, neither which last for more then a few days if that. If you have multiple proxies to use the mules on when you transfer gp or buy the gp, they can't really trace that you are the same person.

Outrun the evidence.

I always thought partyhats could never be wiped because of their id but I guess i'm wrong.

 

It will have been jagex, everything else would have been hacked into if it wasn't.

 

Its possible you may have been hacked on the account with the white, but you were definitely wiped on the other accounts

 

When did you check the mules for the last time? (i.e. when did you see the gp the last time)

You proably got wealthrolled by jagex before, and somehow scammed your phat later.

 

I highly doubt location has anything to do with it, unless you are decked out wearing a blue phat in lumby

 

I'm having daily mules now, after the 24 hour period is up, I'll have hoped to have sold what's on them, or have to transfer them.

I have been decked out once or twice, but usually I trade on a level 3.

 

Brand new accounts receiving billions of GP, looks even more suspicious imo.

Yeah, I think the possibility of you being both HACKED and DECKED OUT by Jagex is very unlikely. It was one or the other I would say, sorry for your loss but I tend to believe it was Jagex.

 

Shoot I had a couple black IP log-ins as well. What does that mean?
