Safe to play rs again?

Well, I quit because, although botting makes the game easier (and I did it), it also make the game lose its enjoyment. Basically, you had to bot to keep up, and at that point, the game lost all fun to me.

So.... Now that botting is gone? Is it safe to play again? How long will botting be gone for?

 

What do you mean "safe" to play? It was never dangerous...

There is no definite answer, but I feel that bots should be back up within the month.

 

Botting is gone, almost completely (All the big suppliers/Devs are gone)

It'll be gone for ..well, forever now until there's a way around it - Which I very highly doubt, RiD Simba, Scar and some custom scripts are still available, but no where near on a mass scale. So you'll be fine.

 

I'd say yes, but I'm waiting until a few more websites close the doors

Yeah, most bots are gone and there's nowhere near enough bots left in the game to cause a disturbance. It's much easier to train and level up now.

 

So like all the big guys like powerbot, rsbuddy, rsbots.net are gone? And the consensus is for at least a long long time?

 

RSbots made a statement they will never go away but we don't know that for sure. Rsbuddy left a closing statement, Jacmob went to Jagex. Dont know about powerbot.

 

Somebody will crack the system, but the question is when....

i dont think anyone can crack the system, especially since jacmob left for JaGex. He obviously will share some of his secrets in order for JaGex to have better Bot prevention.

 

Yeah, since Jacmob crossed I think a good part of the botting community is screwed.

T M: I am enjoying the lack of bots VERY MUCH. Getting kill count for Arma hasn't been this fast for years, as well as other PvM/Slayer being empty/less crowded.

 

Botting will for sure come back. Powerbot already is trying to get there client work again. they say itll be up in a few months.

 

I doubt that botting will be back in the near future.

You might see a brief comeback but nothing like it used to be. Now that Jagex has it all figured out it won't be long before they can stop every bot. :s

 

This is what makes me think that bots have an extreme uphill battle to be fought in the future. I doubt botting will ever be as common and easy as it was before.

So to the OP, it is now "safe" for you to play The bots can't bite anymore.

Somebody told me two days ago that RSbuddy and RSbots will be back up within the week
I was heavilyyyy skeptic, but considered it a possibility.
I seriously doubt they will be up that soon. If these bot sites managed to actuallyyyyyy have a trick up there sleeve, jagex will suffer SERIOUS embarassment and will have wasted major resources. This kind of blow could force jagex to seriously rethink their strategies. AGAINNN.
But the game is pretty sweet without bots, but im defintiely getting less and less out of pest control....(x
