Use my Mic Jack as an Audio Jack?

I had to remove the Audio Jack on my netbook for a reason.
The speakers don't work, so I guess that the only way that I can listen to any sound is by

1. buying usb headphones <=wont do that
2. learn to convert my microphone jack into an audio jack

is #2 possible? if so, how can I do it?

 

You are putting them into the right ports yes? Green for speakers and pink for mic. Many people this mistake and think their PC is fucked. I don't know if you can convert a mic to a speaker jack. Are you sure that the problem is not your speakers?
