As good as RID is, the past few days have been absolute shit, I always get disconnected and even now, I cant even access your website, what's going on with RiD? Will the servers ever become stable?

 

I think the servers will only be stable when Nexus (most likely) stops DDoSing when it's back. So it's sort of pointless to use RiD..

 

Yes, currently we are suffering a DDoS attack from a rival bot company, RiD is constantly working to get the servers back at 100%. Eventually the DDoSer will run out of money, or get bored, seeing as it costs 60-100$ a day to rent a botnet. Childish acts to say the least.

 

Where is your evidence to accuse Nexus? As they're an actual company, they could get sued for DDoS.

 

Does there really need to be a thread on this? Seems as if RiD is getting as cocky as RSBuddy was...

 

I said it was most likely. Either way, RiD is not working right now and there is no evidence that suggests it'll be working anytime soon

Seems to me like he explained it pretty well and that the only way for jagex to stop RiD/smiba/SCAR would be to ruin the game, essentially.

Coin nobody from RiD has accused anyone specifically, but it's incredibly likely as Trent! said that it's a competing company, but there's no real way to tell who.

I wasn't aware that I wasn't allowed to talk about RS cheating in the RS cheating section? If you've got a problem take it up with a mod, we're not advertising, we don't know who's DDoSing, we're not advertising for users, we're defending claims that screen scrapers will be broken soon.

If someone claims that RiD bots suck or are expensive or whatever, we're not going to just sit there and accept it. Get over yourself, we don't care if you join or not.

 

Uhh, hello? Where did he say nexus was ddosing, lol? There's another bot out there besides nexus, you know? Powerbot? Not trying to point fingers at them, but nexus wasn't the only widely known bot. Not saying it was PB either.

Please tell me how he's advertising their bot? Didn't people do this when RSBuddy had a statement? Didn't people do this when Nexus had a statement? He's not advertising at all, nowhere in the post is he saying 'hey guys come to RID and buy our bots!'

Please, if you guys have no idea what you guys are talking about, refrain from posting. Just because RiD makes you guys pay hourly doesn't make it bad at all. It's super cheap, at around 8 pennies an hour. If you believe that is "too expensive", then you should sell your computer and find a job.

They aren't advertising. Everyone is asking the questions RiD points out in that post. What bots are working? Are your bots going to go down? Etc. etc. Trent posted that here, so that we DONT get everyone from sythe coming to RiD and making threads asking the same questions. We post it here to avoid the questions, not to advertise.

We don't know who is DDOS'ing us. But if your bot just got shot down and RiD was one of your only remaining useable bots...its logical to think it would be a competitor. It it right to assume? No. But if we have to guess, thats the most logical choice.

The site and bot should be working fully for everyone soon.

 

You apparently have no concept of subtlety. It just so happens that right after the bot nuke occurred several members of RiD show up here and start posting about RiD and that is all they post about; no community involvement, nothing besides saying how RiD is so much better. These were people who just joined to tell us about the glory of RiD. I don't even complain about how much it costs even though it is quite ridiculous to make people pay per hour. I just think it is ludicrous that those members who started posting about RiD have no involvement in the community other than making these threads about RiD. I can go back 4 or 5 pages and find several threads by those members who came here right after the bot nuke and only post about RiD, but I can't go to any other section and find where they discuss anything else. Though I do exclude Trent! because I have seen him around the forums, and I have nothing personal against them but it is just the way they come for no other purpose than to post about RiD - they have their own community for that don't they?

Does it matter? Are people required to post in all sections? Are we going to complain that major gold sellers ONLY go in the gold section? No.
People are entitled to go in any section they want. Maybe the other sections aren't as appealing as the RS cheating section to them.

 

yea i dont see why so many people hate on RID lol.. it's a very nicely coded bot and it works when they're not getting ddosd..

 

i am not a big fan of rid but i have lots of respect for them

their scripts are not easy to make and their scripts were working after bot nuke day

so i hope the DDOS stop

RiD's mods and fanboys have been on sythe for quite some time (and yea they started to post again since the bot nuke day like if we asked for it).
I remember retards posting RiD had coded an AI that made his own decisions.

If I was RiD (the coder) I'd be ashamed of how retarded the users of my bot are.
Most of them feel badass about being able to set the bot up, come to sythe to 'defend rid' before any1 made a thread saying "rid is shit".

RiD should have its glory days but because of the weird structure of the bot they become shit when the server is DDoSed (I assume RiD is cluster based). People cant run RiD for long either because runescape closes/crashes/log out and they cant do anything about that (other bots run for ages?)

The think I hate the most about the RiD users is that most of them actually believe you get banned after 10 hours of botting with nexus.
