Frost dragon killing...after update?

I just came back to RS after most of botting was destroyed (for now atleast). Anyways, I have got my use out of bots, I just wish I got my stats up a little more now =(.

I basically have a high level berserker pure. (85 attack, 99 strength, 50 defence). I have all the quests done to get ancient prayers, but my prayer level is currently 55. I had no problem killing them before because they didn't have a range attack. Now I am thinking about getting 75 defence to kill them and other high level monsters/bosses. I really dont think I am going to want to keep this account a pker after the update now that gold is going to go up. I think I can have fun killing bosses and doing slayer and making decent gold doing it. Anyway, is 75 defence going to make a difference? If I am looking to make a good amount of gold from this type of stuff (and not mainly pking) what should I invest my cash stack into? I currently have 115M. With the prices of bones rising I think that might be out of the question. (for now atleast). Should I get Rigour and 75 defence and be a range slayer/monster killer? Or I could splurge on getting turmoil/ss. I could also get extremes...

Anway what would be the best may to maximize my account for gold farming and boss killing/slayer?

 

75 Defence will make a huge difference if you go to GWD. The best way to maximize your account for goldfarming is getting requirements for Nex, but you are pretty for away from that. I'd get 75 Defence and mix up tds and bandos, see what you like the most. They are both still fairly good money.

 

Personally, I'd say go for turm, I have a 75 defence turmoil PKer, they still own A LOT.

Also allows you to do bosses, etc.

Then when you've made some more cash, spend out on ovl's, then you can get on 99% of teams for all bosses with turm/ovl's.

 

Thanks for the tips guys, any opinions on frost dragons though? I mean if there is a way to kill them without getting owned by their range attack they would be amazing money. Bones have gone up and are most likely going to stay at a high price and there are no bots at frost dragons right now... Will 75 defence make a difference for them? If so should I range them or melee them? I have 99 range and strength. Also have a rapier.

It will be very hard to kill frosts at any defense level below 80. I think I will write a guide on a good method on killing them. But ya, frosts actually require effort and concentration now.

 

Personally I'd say keep doing Frosts. I have been doing frosts on this level 94 cb account. It has 45 prayer level only lol. and 80 att 70 str 76 def. You just need to know where to place the cannon and stop attacking the dragon when the orb appears. You should set up your inventory with 4 prayer pots, super att str def, anti fires and get bandos tassets/chestplate with veracs helm. food should be sharks. I am making 1.2m/hr doing this on a level 94 cb acc which is good
