    RSBuddy's countdown timer

It's really obvious now why it was set in place.

I bought a couple of my scripts on the 21st of October, the date Jagex posted the countdown for the bot nuke.

Here's part of the RSBuddy terms of service:

This states that any script can be refunded fully if purchased within 14 days of said refund.

The bot nuke was announced on the 21st, as I already said, and that's when everyone who's sensible would have stopped making purchases on RSBuddy. Scripts were made unable to purchase a little while after. I bought mine a few hours before the announcement, so that wasn't the case for me. Today, November 4th, is the 14th day from the announcement. So pretty much, unless you bought a script on the 21st, within a window of a few hours (Like me), RSBuddy doesn't have to refund you.

They put the countdown timer in place to stall up until everyone's ineligible for a refund.

I just posted on the forums, asking for my refund, as I'm still eligible for it. Nope. They IP banned my RSBuddy account for asking. Are you kidding me? I follow their rules to the T, and they hand out a ban when they have to own up to their problems?

tl;dr: Jacmob is an underhanded asshat. He stalled so he doesn't have to give anyone a refund.

If you wish to discuss, comment or rant about RSBuddy closure then use this thread: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1270045

This way the forum is less cluttered.

I'm glad RSBuddy's gone, although I find it a bit selfish they're not giving some of their customers a refund.

This doesn't fall under that category, imo. It's treading a fine line, but I'm not really ranting about their closure. I'm more ranting about how, when I ask for a refund, they ban me instead of following their ToS.

Fair enough, I guess it could be considered a seperate thread. But again, that is quite selfish of them to not refund you and run off with the money. When you think about it, they started a timer up when they would return, people paid for premium in advance and such. RSBuddy probably planned the scam, they knew they were going to close down so what was the point of accepting payments? More the point, they were probably thinking "why should we give this back?".

You probably could take them to court for them violating their ToS, but it'd cost more to do so. Better to just write it off and forget about it.

I'll take my 80 dollar losses over the hundreds it would cost to take him to court. Still, it's BS that he thinks he can do this to his customers.

Come to think of it, didn't he already pull this once? Wasn't it he who stole everyone's bank over at powerbot?

I don't bot nor did I take an interest in botting sites. If that's true then I'm amazed he still had customers up to the botting update. He and the rest of Jagex must be diving into a pool of money right now laughing their assess off.
