What's the purpose of this usertitle?

Is it just for administrators to use if they feel like having it? Or is it some sort of award/recognition.

 

It's a fun rank, i think they have to have a certain rep or do something to earn it.

 

Probably a joke or something to mark an event that happened once, I believe it belongs to FireZ. I guess he'd know.

 

Fun ranks are reserved for staff.

 

Fun ranks are handed out by Administrators as they see fit.

Other fun ranks you guys might see around are "Mudkip" "Zombie" "Cracker Head" & "Crabby"

 

Recently, as a Moderator, if you get the most mod logs in a month, you're given a choice of a fun rank. Crabby, Zombie, Crackerhead.

 

Interesting. That's a pretty cool incentives for the mods to do even more for the community.


And is the story true about how people got the mudkip rank by making a mudkip costume and taking pictures of themselves wearing it?

 

No, it's not true per my knowledge.

 

Ahh I'm a little disappointed haha. I just remember reading that somewhere (probably spam) when I was new at Sythe, then spending like an hour searching for the thread.

 

Only given out a few times before I was mod and sadly I never got one. Though I was awesome.

 

It is just a rank that has been given out to certain users over the years for a number of different reasons, so being just for fun and others being incentives. There are multiple ranks like that and they really have no purpose other than being cool.

Hmm, I got mine this summer, so I don't think "a long time" would fit lol.

 

Crabby was around way before FireZ.
