Do you think Gold prices/item prices are going to rise?

With bots gone for good (most likely) do you think the prices of gold and items will increase a lot? If you look at the prices of items before the mass amount of bots they were obviously a lot higher.

If items are going to rise it would be the smart thing to stock up on raw materials while they are still somewhat cheap

EDIT:Just realized, since you can't bot 99s anymore, skillcapes might actually have some value on sythe!

But yes I think gold will eventually go back up if bots are done for good. With the amount of people that want rares/stake/dice and get cleaned. There should be plenty of demand.

 

Thats presuming that they are gone for good.

I think you're highly under-estimating the talents of some of the bot producers.

 

If other bots come back then no.

 

If bots don't come back, or only a very small unpopular brand, then I'd say they will rise.

 

bots will come back most likely,but i still think gold prices will raise because some bots will come back and some wont.

 

A bit of a rise will come with time as:
1. Supply falls
. a. Current stocks of sellers dwindle
. b. Gold gets more back in the hands of legit players as they take over previously botted things.
. c. *Wild speculation* Jagex removes dicing -> no more hosts selling

2. Demand for gold increases
. a. No bots for resources means skills are more expensive
. b. No bots means people are more likely to opt for faster, more expensive methods of training
. c. People can't gold farm on their own
. d. The game appears to be making a legitimate turnaround. If I weren't so busy with other stuff, I'd consider playing again. The player base may grow substantially.

There's other reasons as well, but these are the main factors for changes in the medium-term price of gold.

I was quite shocked to see RSBuddy closed down earlier, this definately represents the revaluing of RS resources, however, not sure if the amount of people quit will mean that not many care to buy gold..

 

I think staking might get a bigger amount of players.
Especially if dicing would be gone. I myself wus pretty sad yesterday with the bots gone but i do think the game might become more like it used to be wich is something cool also. Still since Jacmob and Arbitter seem to be sell outs to Jagex i dont know if i have to take them serious about bots wich will never return. Some smart ass will figure out some great new system in time.

 

I sure hope they do! People might panic sell gold though, you never know.

 

I'd like to see PowerBot coming up again, then get hit down by JaGeX. Gold will definitely rise if bots are down forever.

 

There is no doubt that the GP prices will raise.
A good idea would be to stock up from now!
