Why isn't the price of RSGP rising?

There's still MASS stock, and people buying up resources to bot won't be happening any more, so the market from that won't be there. Legit players don't tend to buy RSGP, they like to earn it. GP won't rise at all for quite a while, there's still a hell of a lot more supply than demand. The economics haven't changed, the price won't change either for a long time. It'll still be .38-.60

 

This, it is because the market is so saturated right now with botted resources that you have to drain the resources out. It will eventually get hard to level any 'buyable' skill because of prices, but now I suggest buying up anything you need to level right now.

 

It will take a bit, probably because maybe some ppl were also waiting for their bots to come back to produce their own cash. And some people who don't want to play legit might've quit.

 

Big stockpiles of gold are available.

 

yup, there's still been months of botting since free trade came back 10 months ago and that's hundreds of billions worth of GP still out there.

Give it time, it won't happen overnight. We'll see what happens in the next few days.

 

It has slowly fallen and if bots are really done it will slowly rise. There are still other ways of making cash so it will not be some massive jump right away.

It will eventually, the gold currently available in large amounts just needs to be depleted.

 

If things stay as they are, it will happen, its just all about waiting.

 

A bit of a rise will come with time as:
1. Supply falls
. a. Current stocks of sellers dwindle
. b. Gold gets more back in the hands of legit players as they take over previously botted things.
. c. *Wild speculation* Jagex removes dicing -> no more hosts selling

2. Demand for gold increases
. a. No bots for resources means skills are more expensive
. b. No bots means people are more likely to opt for faster, more expensive methods of training
. c. People can't gold farm on their own
. d. The game appears to be making a legitimate turnaround. If I weren't so busy with other stuff, I'd consider playing again. The player base may grow substantially.

There's other reasons as well, but these are the main factors for changes in the medium-term price of gold.

OT:... Everything in RS takes time, first there's the hype rise... then the hype subsides... then it legitimately becomes less common

 

Be good if it could hit 3-4$ again

 

There still is a lot of rsgp going in rs so this is realy a mather of moths i think.
