Took the liberty of adding the videos from Snow's post into your OP.

 

Jacmob was hired by Jagex, was confirmed in IRC, just incase people haven't seen the other thread that was locked.

From this day onwards it's going to be incredibly interesting how RS will turn out, how the market on this site will play, how much gold will raise and what's going to happen to the economy ingame.

People who bought premium scripts recently have seriously got fucked over though.

The brutal and.. sort of funny thing is, somebody I know invested in 2 pc's and multiple premium scripts on rsbuddy, thinking it was a get rich quick scheme, 3 days later, nuke day is announced, then this happens, silly boy.

 

What a sad day for all RSBuddy users.

 

I think it's going to be great. I assume that gold will rise because of this. Also acc's won't be the same anymore. The ability to buy and sell good acc's from trusted people will almost vanish.

 

At least they can get refunded for their premium scripts. He stated any that were bought within 7 days of the nuke are refundable.

 

Jagex must be letting off fireworks in celebration right now, it's quite an achievement to defeat one of the biggest bot clients ever, and maybe even convincing their developers into working for them. I am happy for them.

Lol, still though! Goldfarmers must be kicking themselves if they invested in the last month and used this client.

They seem to hitting hard on RWT bans now too, saw this all happening, too many people bragging about how much they make, being cocky botting 60 accounts at a time and all that shit.

Wonder what Nexus will bring us.

 

They screwed over an entire community; I expect the backlash to last quite a while. Jacmob is probably working with Jagex to destroy all bots now, if you read the posts he details that even simple screen snapers and auto clickers will be out very soon.

 

As some one has posted, there are rumors of Jacmob talking to Jagex regarding bots, and there is the possibility that he could be working for them. So with that in mind...Ah fuck it, my mind is blown.

 

The benefits from this actually provide us with better - rather than a worse situation, gold will eventually rise (They're making attempts to flush out the mass gold traders, as seen in previous 'Banned for RWT' threads. Account values will no longer depreciate, a good account will actually be a good account due to people not being able to bot their stats/wealth. The economy will flourish and become properly stable again, rares will drop in price, all that's left is to get rid of dicing.

 

I'm sure they are. I feel a little bad for those that used RWT as their income to feed their families. :/ But, oh well. They should get a legal job.

I can't really complain about RWT, as I do it myself. RWT doesn't really affect the game as much as millions of goldfarmers do. It was never a big deal for me in the past, because I could still get the resources I wanted. However, the RWT prices are going to be quite ridiculous. Glad I stocked up before this update, haha.

I doubt NeXus will bring any good news. RSBuddy is down, bought out by JaGex or not, and NeXus is usually always last in line. If RSBuddy legitly can't out-do JaGex, I know NeXus won't. Good luck to them though, I suppose. RuneScape is better without bots IMO.

But but.. Dicing is my kryptonite. ;< It's how I make hundreds of millions a week when I don't want to spend money on RSGP. Now that bots are gone for good, I don't think I'll be buying if the gold prices go up like they should.

 

Yeah, then kill duel arena and trade limit. Take the wilderness off also.

 

I'm so happy, Jagex is now a great company, shutting down a big botting site, great new updates, no more bots.

More than all, Gp will rise like mad!

Yeah, because gambling is killing the RS Economy you know.

But this is terrible, and I am super surprised.
