Anyone wanna learn how to create a 317 server together?

So for the past couple of months I've been playing around with learning how to create a server from scratch following the 317 protocol. I've looked through sources and I'm trying to replicate it, and actually understand the architecture of a server. It's been going well, I've managed to get past the login, multiple player rendering etc etc, I'm now going to start working on NPC rendering.
It's not much but it's a start.

I'm happy to try to teach what I've learned so far as well.

So far it's been lots of fun but I feel as if it would be more fun if I was doing it with someone else because I might even learn more if the other person were to pickup on something I've missed.

This isn't going to be something that I host at the end or anything, if anything I'll let a couple of friends play on it.

Even if you've made multiple servers in the past and just want to hang around Discord and and help me out that would be pretty fun too!

317s are honestly the best base to learn on — the codebase is small enough to actually read end to end, and almost every modern server still traces back to those packet structures. If you're starting out: get a clean source compiling and logging in before you add any content, learn the packet in/out flow before you touch combat, and keep a deob'd client open so you can map opcodes as you go. Happy to point you toward a stable source and share some notes — been deep in server dev for a while. Are you all thinking pure 317 or 317 loading-incbk?
