My RWT Ban Theorys

I've been seeing many ban's being handed out lately concerning RWT (Real World Trading) My theory is that Jagex checks Trade Logs and notices hey this guy is receiving 20mill for free from a different player with a different IP? this must be a RWT which leads them to ban both players.

Technically this isn't true because say you're quitting and you just want to give an IRL friend or maybe a friend you met online all your stuff...

So they can ban you for that?

I haven't seen too many RWT bans to be honest and I don't have a theory...

 

Well there must be a way for Jagex to ban Real World Traders how can they know and ban us?

 

If they do check trade logs you'd MAYBE be banned if your are constantly trading varied amounts of gold back and forth with IPs around the world.

Your probably right, I don't see any other way that someone would be banned for RWT though.

but for jagex i think if simple

they just monitor the player

if he gives big amounts in a row to different players without a reason they banhammer


i always say they should use the stake method
just stake both some money and make him win

 

They look for people trading off large amounts of money for nothing multiple times, and when an account is flagged they take a closer look.

 

Maybe just maybe there using the emails they got from nexus and they notice you have the same email linked to your runescape account and they see you have been trading mass amounts of gold. Then boom BANHAMMER.

 

If this was the case all dicers would be banned.

I still RWT billions a week and I'm fine.

 

Where have you been seeing these RWT bans posted? I want to check them out for myself... Jagex can monitor your trade logs, I'm sure. But think of all the massive one sided trades that take place on a daily basis... dicing, staking, gifts/presents, people quitting etc. There are tons of reasons. Unless they find a level 3 account that only logs in to F2P servers once in awhile and is constantly trading over billions of GP to various other accounts, then I doubt they would ban you for RWT based on the fact a large one-sided trade took place.

I think the way its possible is the same way the US Government tracks dirty money.. They just kind of trace the GP in question to being transferred back and fourth. They probably get tips and shit like that.

 

Idk what they do, but they should be able to realize that I trade away 10-12m each month to a different person for a pin that has been from at least 4 different countries.

 

This ban thing is wierd . I have many account , i botted them 24/7 for 4 months -- 8 accounts and never get banned for boting or trading money -.-

 

I'm pretty sure there's a little more to it than that..

 

I haven't heard of any recent RWT bans? Who has been banned?
