Are you The main character in Life?

Do you feel like you are the main character in life? or are you a side character, like the guy you see everyday but just slips your mind, I see myself as the main character because whenever something bad happens I always seem to pull through, or I could be a side character and you reading this right now is the main character, do you think this exists, kind of like thinking your the only conscious being I guess since from your perspective if you die the world will not exist, anyways, anyone think like this or have a different opinion?

 

You would be the main character in your life story.

 

I perceive the world through my brain. I am the main character..

 

Side character to society, main character to myself

 

I think that everyone would perceive themselves as the main character as they pay the most attention to themselves on a daily basis.

 

Reality, the world, exists independent of your consciousness. Before you were born and gained consciousness, and after you die and lose consciousness the world, reality will still continue.

So in that sense, you are always secondary to the world.

However, it is your perception of the world that determines the way you act. Generally, we all perceive the world to be the same, we all see the computer screen in front of us, and we all see the car in the garage. The further away your perception is from reality, the less likely you are to succeed.

So, in essence, you are the 'main character' of your own life, however, the further your perception of the world from reality (the constant and overarching foundation) the less likely you are to succeed. For example, if you hallucinate and jump out of a building thinking you can fly, what you consciously think means squat.

 

All of you are just fabricated in my mind to help me cope with the possible stress that could come with the realization of being the only thing real in this world anyway. Now I've learned to live with it, and go with the flow.

 

I experience life through my eyes, with my thoughts and feelings. I am the main character in my life, and other people are the main characters in their own lives.

 

This theory has crossed my mind many times.

I do believe I am the main character, maybe even the ONLY character in life.
