    Will pay for help...

So guys... I am going to buy a new labtop that I am hoping to use both for school and gaming. I am not looking for something high end and am on a tight budget.

I also get discounts from my school but am honestly not sure about any labtop right now. There is a Lenova Labtop that is on special now.. also HP and Dell (Included Below).. i also piece parted alot of the labtops and in the end not sure how much i am actually saving..

I am just not sure... can anyone give me a couple of good labtop deals online for under $600... Can be $599 + tax if need be.

    Thanks so much!

Don't get an i3, they're really outdated. An i5 is perfect for what you need (an i7 is just overkill, not worth it for a laptop). Try for 4 gigs of ram (I'm pretty sure it takes 1.5 gigs just to run windows 7...?). The first and last examples look quite good.

This laptop seems good, for the price, although im not familiar with the us market, as im from the uk.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152279

MSI FX420-050US Notebook Intel Core i5 2410M(2.30GHz) 14" 6GB Memory 640GB HDD DVD Super Multi AMD Radeon HD 6470M

It's a good size to take around with you at 14inches.

    And it's priced at $730.

The first two laptops you mentioned used onboard graphics cards, which means shared memory amongst them. The second would be much better for gaming as it can use 2 of your six gigs of ram for graphics alone, though it will never be phenominal.

The third pc, however, looks to be the best out of three. Dedicated graphics, good amount of ram, and a very good processor.

What games would you like to run, out of curiosity?

I disagree I feel an i7 might be just what he's looking for, if you're dropping serious cash go big or go home o_O
